Mini Cooper is this a scam?

Heck even trying to sell a car is a pain. I listed my accord on Craigslist and had someone come drive it and want to buy it. He had a money order from a bank . I asked that he deposit that one he had and issue a new one in front of me , and he said he no longer had an account there. He wanted me to just deposit it in my account. I even asked him to just cash it at the same bank and I would go to get a receipt notarized for our transaction. Nope , he refused. Of course he wouldn't want to cash it under his name and show his ID.
