1.) Flash Stock Tune first using the existing rsa delete 2.) Flash Stock Program after the stock tune is successfully installed 3.) Drive around for at least a week or so 4.) Pass smog 5.) Flash RSA delete 6.) Flash 330 tune again |

it's in your downloads. "stock files". Also, the "softwareid" has to match the calibration/tune you want to run. For example, 049PP0MI20S. that's like the operating system version.
you have to flash the program first. you can't flash the calibration first, because flashing the program erases the calibration too. Same goes for the RSA delete. |

1 7602220A.0pa.zip 8608332 ( S8608331.0da.zip / S8608331.0da / S8608331.0da.bin ) 2 7602220A.0pa.zip 8608330 ( S8608329.0da.zip / S8608329.0da / S8608329.0da.bin ) 3 8613000A.0pa.zip 8619540 ( S8619541.0da.zip / S8619541.0da / S8619541.0da.bin ) So those are the downloads for the stock files. Is it safe to assume that #1 is the stock rsa file, #2 is the 328 file, and #3 is the mafless/euro 328 file? EDIT: I see that all 1,2, and 3 have the MSV80 batch file. So, download the #1 program zip, run the MSV80 batch file, but what about the 3 files to the right of it? Also which file reverses the rsa delete? Last edited by bsmoov; 09-30-2021 at 11:36 AM.. |

No, those are all stock files. There are different ZB#s for the same car that are all stock. You can pick any stock program and calibration from the same row. 8619540 is the newest, I actually use the older one because it's used on all other cars that use MSV80 (and even MSV80.1 is similar) to make editing them easier.

Sorry for beating the dead horse, but I never got an answer to how do you UNDO the rsa delete? How do you revert it back to "rsa undelete" to be back to stock? You mentioned a few times to revert the rsa delete back to factory which makes me believe I'm missing something here. Where do you get this "rsa undelete" file? Right now my car has the one time rsa delete done on it and it's flashed with the 330i tune. I need to go back to stock because one of my cars is due for a smog soon. |

You flash a stock program (the .0pa files). the RSA delete is a modified .0pa file. They're right there in the "stock tunes" section.
Honestly, I'd just use WinkFP comfort mode. I think you want it to write the UIF to make sure it matches your current program, because that's what the DME will use to report the software version number to the emissions place. |

Errors 106 & 2000
Well, I followed the instructions on Bimmerlabs and attempted to perform the RSA delete (intending to follow this with installation of a stock tune in preparation for my smog test) but came up against these errors:
INPA seems to be working fine but this rather has me stumped - anyone got any ideas? Mark BTW I'm doing this process first on my 2011 128i (before doing it again on my 328i) just in case this makes a difference. |

Well I got past the error 106 and error 2000 and even appeared to load first the RSA delete and then a stock tune but still have problems. Lots of fault codes, some which won't clear, and the engine won't start. To be continued...

RSA delete is done once, then you can flash the 330/330 mafless as many times as you want. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you supposed to just run the stock program, then flash with the stock tune? By stock program (which is the equivalent to the rsa delete for the 330 tune) the file on the left side of the stock tune line? |

You're correct. You don't need to have the RSA bypass to flash a stock tune (although, you can, if you're not in California). And if you're trying to pass California smog, you can't have it because it will get flagged (assuming they test for the program checksum and not just the calibration).

Finally got the 8613000A stock program to load using Comfort Mode (and a little help from someone who did this before). The engine runs and I have no fault codes. I'll drive it for a few days and then take it for smog check. Thanks to all who offered help here!

bsmoov - unfortunately I cannot. Although I was watching, the guy that helped worked fast and I didn't capture all the steps. I hope to get a smog test tomorrow so that will be the final measure of success. I'll let you know how that goes. I guess, like me, you're not a software guy so I feel your pain with figuring this stuff out!

So I passed smog test today which is a relief. Now I can take some time to better understand the DME programming and hopefully figure out how to switch back and forth between stock and the 330i tune. The good news is I have 2 years to do this...

This thread is keeping my spirits high. I've been searching for a year for the perfect LCI 328i and first thing would be 3-stage. But being in CA (and already having to find teh car out of state) I was worried about this new rule.
You can run and drive an N52 328 with 3-stage intake but on the factory 1-stage tune, right? Like it runs just as if it had the original manifold?

I remember you mentioning flashing stock program and stock tune in comfort mode. I’m flashing the stock program and tune right now, but when I click the batch file to start the process, it said it’s now in expert mode. Will I be ok? I swore the settings in winkfp had the comfort mode box checked. If I’m doing it wrong, how do I change it so it does it’s thing in comfort mode? |

Ok so I flashed the stock tune successfully, but I didn’t do it in comfort mode apparently.
Can anyone tell me how to do it in comfort mode? It’s running the 328i program and tune, but it still says “coding missing” error. |

This error is pretty useless, you can ignore it. If your are "anal" about errors, you could use NCSexpert and correct the codding error. |

I just want to know how to flash in comfort mode. I've flashed several cars and it defaults to expert mode. |
