Yours truly, of course~! I spent a couple hours getting a few clips, putting together the video, and writing up the review with him. IMHO, the exhaust looks absolutely amazing in person. I never thought that the blue titanium tips would look good on european cars, but it does make the 335i look really aggressive. For those of you who have responded so far about the sound...yes, the exhaust is actually pretty quiet. It's really not loud at all. But I think having an exhaust that's super loud nowadays is just kinda *ricey*. Having an HKS exhaust which is not loud and is on a euro-car...that's an oxymoron isn't it? =) Nevertheless...I likey likey. Thumbs up. |

Yeah... HKS really did a nice job on this exhaust. So you're going to Fontana, right? Your GF bringing her E90?

I think that it sounds very good. I know that its hard to capture the true sound of an exhaust on video, but from what I can hear it sounds like it has a very nice, subtle note to it. It also looks very good with those burnt tips, and HKS chose a good size for them IMO.
BTW, I had an HKS exhaust as my first exhaust on my s2k and it was by far the best sounding exhaust for that car. Actually, it was the only one with any type of note/burble to it. They build quality exhausts.

Looks nice. Just verifying it is "cat-back" as it looks to bolt onto the back of the cats? So what is the retail cost? I hear people saying close to $2k and I assume that is the SS version, not the Ti version... HKS isn't cheap lol!
Still think I am sold on the AE DP-back exhaust (mostly for sound, and cat removal) |

I have the E92 prototype production HKS exhaust and it sounds great. The exhaust is 304 stainless steel with titanium tips (not full titanium like the OP said). It is from the downpipes back so it removes the secondary cats. The reason it's quieter is that it has resonators. I, personally, like the fact that it isn't too loud (maybe I'm getting too old). Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty loud -- at least that's what my wife keeps telling me. There is no drone. I've heard the Autobahn Exotics exhaust and that one drones like crazy. Here are some of the pictures of the exhaust that I posted before and the sound clip I did:
