Hmmm, maybe i should hold off and get a CS instead. I assume it would also come with a power bump. Based on the first post it basically has all the options i went for on my M2 build. But...i'd then need to wait another year for it vs getting my M2 in Jan...

No vendetta. Just funny you seem to be all over the M2 forums when the posts hit home page, and have nothing useful to add.

Your comment wasn’t even about the CS, it was about the M2. It was a very ignorant post saying the M2 wasn’t the best BMW could offer.

unfortunate that it doesn’t come with a manual—-I think that makes the standard G87 more special, IMO. As the last manual M2. Doesn’t matter how much more HP the CS will have.

Since the current iteration already comes with an available carbon roof And seats I would assume the CS will come with more than just a carbon roof per the OP’s post to set it a part. Hood and trunk lid, would be a must in carbon. Since it may be the last ICE only M car it is going to be something impressive. A full CSL treatment would be legendary.

Now what special color(s) would everyone want it in?

I agree about no manual being a let down. You could be onto something about having the last manual M2.

About 90% of your posts are whining about someone having a different opinion than you. Get over yourself, it’s tiring and not a good look.

The DCT is dead per all the reliability issues that the BMW CEO actually apologized for on BMW.com years ago I think in 2018, the only car that BMW sells now with DCT is the X1 because it’s actually a MINI Countryman underneath.

I have the current G87 M2 manual with sports suspension and a lot of the M Perf carbon and I think it was the right choice (for me). Anyone looking at the new M2 CS as an option, keep in mind that each “M” dealer will only get 1, that’s it. Same as the M5 CS, M4 CSL, and M3 CS.

I think it will definitely be a fantastic car, hopefully it gets a lighter and vented hood so we have something to copy in the aftermarket world. Maybe some cool carbon fenders like the F87 got as optional. Only time will tell.
(For reference I sell in SoCal)

F87 came in a manual, unlike F80 CS that was sold at a significant discount. G80 CS is auto only too and easily MSRP. Why BMW continues to think enthusiasts want a heavy automatic that’s supposedly light weight is mind boggling. One thing I’ve learned is that Porsche charges a very heavy entry fee, but they listen to what owners want unlike BMW.

BMW learned from the F80CS. The G80CS is more in demand and most are paying over MSRP. It will hold its value way better than the G80. F80CS is really the only CS that’s been sold at discount new. See M5CS and M2CS and M3(G80CS)…all super successful and highly rated and only one of those sold in a manual. Plenty of G87CS will be sold over MSRP

Do you think the value of the CS will uphold better than a manual m3. Speaking long long term.

That's just what's standard on the CS (not standard on normal M2). The CS will have additional bits and pieces that sets it appart.

I think you should wait for the 2035 M2 because it will have another power bump...that is sooo much needed

Manual is an absolute requirement for me and I don’t care about better, faster models that only come with auto transmission. It’s the reason I bought a 2 door Bronco with the smaller engine to get a manual and why I have been driving Subaru STis for 17 years.

Save the manuals! Ha

    • Automatic transmission only.
I had a look at the normal M2, really nice car. Too bad about that understeer still. Glad it's only Auto. At least it's faster.
