I got the lights Friday but there wasn't a lift available at the shop. I put the right one in just to get some contrast pictures and then put the stock one back in. Today I did the full install after putting in new ignition coils. The right one takes just minutes and is easily done from under the hood. The left one has to be done with the fender liner removed. It's not hard, just a little tedious and time consuming the first time because you end up missing a screw or two trying to get the liner out. The only real problem was getting the covers back on on over the new lights. The bottom of the cup was catching on the bottom if the lights and the "ears" wouldn't seat back into the slots. I trimmed about 1/32 to 1/16th of plastic from the bottom edge of the covers to get them to fit back properly. Not a problem at all and it only takes about a minute or two to do it. I used a knife to trim the plastic. The only other minor issue were the connectors. They fit, but not tightly. They were too easy to pull out. Enough so that I could foresee a hard bump in the road possibly jarring them out of the sockets so I wrapped them with electrical tape. I'm happy with the way they turned out and they're noticeably brighter than the dull yellow factory bulbs. Not nearly as bright as the newer cars, but way better than stock. I'll take more pics in a day or two when we're supposed to have some clear skies and lots of sun.

BMWs manual says that there is a little flap like thingy on the wheel liner that can be removed to access the headlight bulbs for low beam & AE
Your car does not have that ?? , I have a 2011 E90 & I see that flap once I turn my wheel all the way in |

I have a set of LUX E90 LCI Halogen AEs installed in my E90 and they're OK.
Bright enough at night, but very dim in daylight. I'd love to see a comparison of these new 40W CREE bulbs compared to the LUX product. |

Finally installed mine today. I temporarily lost the install sheet, and was trying to fit whatever wires came with the lights to my car when I realized I just didn't need them. Not sure why they're in there if we don't, but no harm no foul. I may need to tighten the torx screws on the drivers side, I'm not sure it's fully seated/tightened which my be why the outer AE looks dim. But these are pretty bright and a great tone. Couldn't be happier - well, if I didn't have to remove the wheel and wheel well I might be happier. Thanks again Jeff!

I'm definitely happy with my set of 40W LED Replacements from Jeff @ TGS! Just got them in the mail and put them in over the weekend. (for the LCI Halogen headlights). I'll post pictures whenever I can figure out the exposure settings.
