Good Friend Raced For The First Time

2007 335i MT stock except for V2 with 02/26 map with default settings. Temp in low 60s. Elevation 242 feet. This was his first time ever. He was in right lane. No burnout. C5 Corvette Z06 (405 hp) in left lane. <added> 93 octane </added>

I think my friend needs to improve his reaction time. A little traction off the line wouldn't hurt either.

BTW, he said he needed to shift to 4th right before the quarter mile mark, but when he did, he noticed his power was down. Wassup widat?

All in all, not bad for his first time. Maybe next time I might bring mine and line it up. Would be a first for me too.

New 1/4 Mile Record for street tires- Procede only!

All of my runs are on stock runflats

Mods - Procede v2.02, a new K&N filter, 100 octane fuel

Video will be up on Dragtimes.com later today for everyone to check out. The video and timeslip below are like 2 hundredth's slower than my best timeslip. My best MPH was 114.15, I think. I have to go back through the rest of my timeslips.

12.13 @ 113.49 at Famosa

06 Steptronic Sedan
JB2HR
Et Streets DRs rear, 19" CSL Reps with 245/35/19 Generals Front
`97 Octane. Union 76 Pump Gas Mix
Stock Air filter
Stock exhaust
DA approx 650-850FT

I also ran at 12.193 and 12.227. Note how the quickest run had the lowest terminal speed And the 12.227 the highest.

One run with the JB2HHR yielded well over 91mph. This could have been my 11 second run! But I coasted through the 1/4 mile at at 12.3 @ 107mph!

The DRs are so tall the speedometer reads about 10mph faster than the stock tires at 100mph. Not the best recipe for a quick ET.

At sea level. the car ran a trap of 115.2mph on the Vbox.

This is probably the quickest 335i for the least amount of engine modifications. (Less than $400).

Just a suggestion - Someone should post and upkeep a numbered list with the top times in various categories (model,rwd/awd,rubber,modified,stock,tuned,etc).

Of course they should all be verified with timeslips before being added. I would also suggest making it the top post in the thread and just updating that first post.

It would be a nice easy to read resource if someone wanted to take the time to do it.

100% Bone Stock on RFT's
No burnout just a clean off
DTC off M1 1k launch

13.513 @ 110.67 1.99 60'

13.631 @ 102.17 2.08 60'
13.676 @ 101.13 2.12 60'

First pass was the best of the night. Unfortunately the ticket says 110mph but after concurrent runs we know that was not accurate, something must have tripped the beam. Car got constantly slower during the night due to the deteriorating 60' times. I have all the time slips and will post tomorrow.

I was at the track today and saw someone else with a 335. Here is what he had:

1) Model and Transmission E92 2008 335i w/ 6MT
2) Elevation, Temp and Humidity Less than 100ft above sea level/ ~65 degrees
3) All performance modifications done to the car Stock everything except SSTT
4) Level of gas ran and how much gas in the tank? 93 octane, little about 1/2 tank
5) Any weight reduction done to the car?? none
4) Type of tires and rims?? stock 162s and stock runflats
5) Years of driving the type of transmission?? ~10

60' 2.109
1/8 8.685
MPH 83.6
1/4 13.342
MPH 103.78

He gave me a copy of his timeslip:

thanks

NOW result with piggy AA processor installed.

All the same setup (exept the start at 3000-3200 rpm)only the AA on the second picture.

First picture = stock
second = AA piggy

The car pull very hard all the way. My problem now is the 60 feets...the car spin on the four wheels, maybe the runflat?

Thanks
