I really like the idea of being able to switch the map back to standard before putting the car in for servicing etc.

WHy though?!

If its a routine service why would they go looking?!

I'm sure you are right Carl, but I can't quite bring myself to take the risk. The beauty of the Evolve switch would be the ability to convert it back to stock whenever I felt the need.

Would also cover any 'accidental' reflashing by the dealers etc.

Personally, this would persuade me to remap. Otherwise, I would probably be too nervous about the warranty.

There are a lot of people who will tune their 335i when this option becomes available. We saw exactly the same thing when the switchable option came out for the 335d.

Looking at the other graphs this also appears to be true of the 330d albeit to a lesser extent but the two 320d versions and 335d appear close to quoted.

Mine also is a manual so I shall look forward to a review as I am still very interested.

Hi Jules,

Do it! Simple as that!
Honestly, you will not regret it, it turns into a completely different car!

I'm trying to find a reason not to get evolved

Better fuel economy
More power
Car feels more 'Alive'

I'm got a fair few miles on my 330d (78k), would this have any bearing on me getting evolved??

Hi

As long as the car has been serviced regurlarly then it will be fine with the evolve map.

Well I've done the deed now.
Many thanks to Imran for his help.
I shall give a review once I've done a few more miles.

Hi Andy

Yes we have them in stock for the 231 BHP model. Gains are 50-60 BHP and 90-100ft/lbs Torque.

Hi Imran

If I brought an Evolve Switch from you, could I use the switch on another car?
ie I sell the one I have now and buy a new one?
I would gather I would have to pay for the new software for the new car.
If you can do this, how much would that be?

How will I know if the Evolve Switch has worked ?

Cheers

The evolve Switch can be used again on your next car if the current one has been returned back to standard.

The software for the new car would cost you RRP minus 20% or at any special forum price offered at the time if that is lower.

The unit will tell you that the tune has uploaded correctly and on a 330d you will know when you put your put down.
