after extract the 1b file using the USB copie_scr.sh method I have the following error message with this generator:

"Incorrect RSA Key Header/Footer

The FSC.hex file doesn't appear to have been pulled correctly.

It looks like there are bytes inserted into the header between positions 0x17 and the start of the VIN at 0x1D. (VIN should start at 0x1A)

I've removed 3xBytes to align the VIN, and RSA keys within the file. (Rename AstroZ.pdf to AstroZ.hex)

***This file will generate a key, but they code may not work as "File Likely Corrupted"***

the file was pulled using the glovebox usb method and 319 bytes long so not sure why the extra bytes were inserted (not my CIC)

But it could have been any of script activated or emulator (100% has a emulator) or self signed certificates or perhaps my USB stick (32GB sdcard with adaptor)

yep i noticed the 00s inserted at the end

it worked though

updating the maps to 2018-1 via the same 32GB SD card using the generated lifetime code. thanks for this

Two possible reasons

1. The generator defaults to premium, but requires you to set the map type first. Click on "Premium" and a dropdown will appear. Select the type of map you need
2. You don't have internet connectivity. An error message should have popped up telling you that it couldn't download support files.

Whenever I launch the FSC_generator.EXE it just opens a MS DOS window which shuts itself down in one second. Any idea what is wrong here?

Hello maybe somebody can help me.
I am driving a E92 with CIC Navigation (Navi Prof).
I successfully got my 1B File.

I am trying to update my MAPS to Europe Premium West 2018.1 with (1x USB)
I generated about 5 different FSC (with and without lifetime) and so on.

I plug in the USB some seconds later the Navi Prof recognize the USBUpdate and want the FSC. But it altways says invalid FSC...

I tried the method with jaegers generator and the other one with changing the FSC.Bat to 0x28 0x10

Smb may know where the Problem is?

Is your CIC set up with Europe Premium West? If your CIC came with a different map type or region, you will need to add that FSC to your CIC before you can update the maps. ( https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=23198 )

If you have a retrofit CIC, the 1B file retrieved may not match what the CIC is expecting. (Emulator, Script Activation...)

In my Nav Version there is only Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2010
Without any West or East.
Can this be the failure?

The NAVI Prof was standard no retrofit

Well actually I also often used the GUI Generator but it is still a invalid code. Yes it its 100% 2018-1 I double checked the thread where I got the files and the zip file names are also 2018-1
