Wow. Shocked at how well the 335 kept up. I suspect at normal driving conditions (3,000rpm) the 335 would pull away.

agreed! with v2 and a downpipe and exhaust and the 335 will be even w/ the M5...after 130 mph though the M5 will run away.

Not one for making excuses but I forgot to put the traction control off on the standing start in the video.

Hard to see on the vids, but he definitely is stronger in upper 3rd into 4th & pulls a length or so. Funnily enough he doesn't run away once I get onto full boost in 4th gear. I can more or less hold on until we get to high revs in 4th when he has the edge again. But top of 3rd seems to be a strong point for his powerband/gearing. I was thinking of shifting a bit earlier into 4th as I seem to be dead in the water at high revs & going into the torque in 4th sees me putting up a better fight & even creeping back a bit sometimes. But when you side by side racing, the adrenaline gets the better of you & it's hard to short-shift.

Just to give you an indication of how strong this particular M5 is, here's a video of my buddy doing 0-270 km/h 0-170mph), on a totally flat road. He launches 1 second into the vid, (Euro launch control):

As far as the video goes, I really didn't feel like he pulled much on you. I mean, half or 1 car length is not much at all.
With PROcede V2, I think you can take him at that elevation and probably at sea level you will be even.

Do you have an LSD? That would make a big difference in the launch+DRs. We have a lot of torque for the wt which give the advantage in the digs.

Those Downpipes really make a Big Difference.. Im sure u got 30 hp from them alone.. Niceee Run!... if he puts DPs on his M5 he will also gain around 30hp since the stock M5 cats are really restrictive..
