I also run royal purple octane booster in every tank. I think it makes the car run a lot smoother overall and ive noticed about 2-3 mpg better since i started using it
going to try and get it done soon now not going to buy another set of headers gonna have my stocks gutted

I've been trying to shoot flames with my car and ask friends who are behind me to see if I shoot flames but nothing comes out. Awesome to see this engine can actually shoot flames.

I have AA Catless Headers straight pipe to OEM Resonator to a Y-Pipe to Quad Exhaust, I get loud pops and all but no flames. I'm sure my piping is all 2.5" front to back.

The stock piping size is 2.25 from the secondarys back. Along with really restrictive muffler res and cats, theres no way a flame would make it through hahaha. Get a full 3 inch setup for like $250 (straight pipe with tips) or just throw any other muffler or res u want to. Itll save you a hell of a lot

I also suggest you run this stuff. Works great in my car. Use it in every tank and i wouldnt neccessarily say it feels like its got an actual hp benefit if maybe like 5 hp but i think it just helps out with response alot and i have noticed my mpg go up a couple miles. Its still shit tho

are the pipes what gets you flames though? i never really understood if pipe makes a difference then gutting my friend did my secondary cat delete he didnt have pipe so he decided to gut it instead. i do get allot of burbles now but no POPS just little burbles. is it because i gutted my cat instead of using 3" pipe. also why did you buy a set of oem headers? Didnt wanna take off ur headers and do it?

my current setup is

afe stage 2 CAI
AA tune
BMW PE 4k miles on exhaust
secondary cats gutted for the last 1.4k miles
So you lost the POPS after gutting the 2nd cats?! Im planning to gut mines too in a couple of weeks..i was wondering if the car would get raspier without the cats

PS: i have the PE(muffler + resonator delete) too

Secondary cats being removed won't make the car much raspier if at all. Almost all of the rasp comes from removing the header cats

(OLD POST I KNOW) will not lose pops with sec cat delete. My car doesn't have resonator, muffler or sec cats and she pops like an e92 m3 with gintani burble tune. I dont know about gutting them, but I would recommend against it as turbulence in exhaust flow is possible.
