From the screenshots that you posted, I gather that you weren't able to open SGBD file D73N57C0.PRG, but you were able to open SGBD file D73N57E0...is that correct?

If your DDE variant is D73N57E0, it is supported by INPA script DDE7UDS.IPO. Can you run that script and post a screenshot?

I would probably leave it coded for 90Ah so that you don't risk overcharging the battery. However, that's not necessarily the consensus:
Read this thread

Also, I suggest viewing <F2> PM 1 Byte field to verify the mileage of the vehicle when the battery was registered
This is exactly what happened, the script was not loading because there were no communication with the car.

Also thank you for answering the question i had in my head, how to check that battery is registered, and it is by the mileage on PM1.

I have read that thread about battery and i have decided to flash CAS to 110Ah, as it is closest value, and battery is on the warranty
Anyway i am risking with 120$ not that bad at all

Thank you for your support and clarifying how to use INPA with 335D.

Bottom left hand corner of every post. It's kind of grayed out until you mouse over it.

Still struggling with my no-start condition after replacing an injector.

I think the EWS4 is out of sync / not aligned with the DDE. Other/earlier engine files seem to have an EWS activate function but I can't find anything like that in the DDE73KWP script. Anyone know how to do that with this script?

Yeah, it's not entirely clear if the DDE73KWP script can perform an EWS4 start value alignment...of course it doesn't help that it's in German...

There is a EWS4 screen that appears to return the status of the EWS and the ISN (secret key.) It even appears to be able to write the ISN... That's something I wish I could do on my DME.

From the best that I can gather, from the main menu it's <F6> Ansteuern -> <F6> EWS. Have you tried that menu?

Tool32 might be able to shed some additional light on your situation...however, perhaps it would be best if you start a separate thread so that we don't thread jack this one?

The simplest solution would be to install INPA for F-Series. It consists of just INPA for diagnostics and EDIABAS for communication with the vehicle. You can get the download link from this thread:
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=698506

Or just PM shawnsheridan, he's also on e90post.

Another INPA tidbit for you guys...

If you have the INPA for F-Series scripts and want to access your fuel pump...copy the AUTEKP.IPO script and the AUTEKP.INI file to your INPA SGDAT folder. Edit your E90.ENG file and add the following line:
Code:
ENTRY= AUTEKP, Electric Fuel Pump EKPM3,
It can also be accessed with Too32. Mik325tds explains how to do it in this post:

Hey, Omaha. No, unfortunately the latest INPA scripts are German language only. Likewise for the latest SP daten files.

I know is it's a PITA, but Google translate is your friend.

Alright, thanks anyway 808! As a side question: Im trying to do some diagnostics, i want to do some charting and such. I was pointed to Test-O for recording values that INPA picks up. But I am also considering buying a Bav Tech cable, their stuff seems VERY well laid out. Thoughts?

Bavarian Technic is alright. It's easy to use. The problem I have with it is that their USB drivers cannot co-exist with standard FTDI drivers, therefore you cannot use BMW software with a K+DCAN cable on the same system. At least that's been my experience. Also the drivers aren't digitally signed by Microsoft. In order to install them you have to disable Windows driver signature enforcement.

The other thing that I don't like about it is that it still depends upon the old Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 SP1 which is very old (circa Windows XP/Vista.) As a result, I've ran into difficulties with other software that was expecting a current release.

All in all, it's not a bad tool, but one I would suggest running on a dedicated Windows XP system.

Ya know...i was GOING to ask about that co-existing thing.....and I thought "nah, surely they wouldnt have the top of the line diagnostic stuff run into issues with other stuff..." Well I guess that will end that...ill learn some german/use google translate
