A solid enough start for the Aussies, a draw would have been a fair enough result?

Glorious win for the Mexicans, well deserved!

Pretty sure the Germans will bounce back though. Seems like the classic German slow start into the tournament.

Great performance from Mexico. They missed a hatfull of chances to kill the game. I said it all along that I didn't think the German team had any pace or speed in the final 1/3. That's why it was mistake to leave Sane home. He would have injected a lot of pace up front going at the Mexican backline. I thought Low waited too long to bring on his subs. Brandt didn't come in until the 83rd minute and he had some fresh legs. The Germans will rebound, but I still don't think they'll repeat.

Mexico played a solid game, have to give them props. i expect we will see a much better game out of Germany... We are rooting for Portugal despite their 10th ranking, they played great against Spain. Thus far it looks like the underdogs have all shown up to play !! Look at Iceland!!

Thank you neighbor !
It's really sad the Dutch team didn't made it ..In the past the Dutch team was always better than the Belgian team . I loved to watch the Dutch game !
On paper the Belgian team is pretty strong . Our fingers are crossed for our Red Devils. And of course the tension is pretty high !
3 hours to go...Tick....tick

Definitely not in the 80's. That Belgian Team was gold...Ceulemans, Gerets, vander Elst and most of all: Enzo Scifo.

And those keepers , first JM Pfaff and later Preud'Homme. Pure Class.
