I have a problem, FLA change high beam, in the instrument cluster appears the blue beam, but in reality it low beam!
Can anyone confirm if it works FLA with halogen lamp? (E90LCI)

Post your FLA and FRM trc's (use a pastebin link for example)
I have always retrofitted over Xenón but maybe it is possible over halogen too.

If you configure a new car at BMW official web site, you can add FLA without xenon, so this has to be possible.

Regards

One off-topic question.
On the rear side of the mirror there is some sort of a sensor, what is that for?

It is for the autodim feature.

You have two sensors (one on the glass and the one you are showing).
The mirror compare the light received for both sensors and darkens the glass if there is any possibility to blind the driver.

Thanks.

As for the FLA retrofitting, are you sure that the rain sensor is required? In ETK I can find a rearview mirrors just with EC and FLA function, no rain sensor?

You need to have automatic headlamps since the FLA only works in auto position (it comes always with rain sensor)
Maybe you can find a way to code it without RLS but I didn't try...

Or maybe it is enough with the auto light switch (without the RLS sensor)

Regars.

FLA is working like a charm but I don't get any symbol in my kombi/cluster. My car is a 2005 E91 325i. I have coded kombi, FLA and FRM3 Max Brose.

Nice! I have seen more cars without symbols in the cluster after retrofitting. I think this is because the soft version. Maybe you can try to upgrade it.

Regards.

Thanks! Upgrading only kombi won't cause problems communicating with other modules?

I have upgraded some modules without any problems.
Of course the best solution is upgrade the whole car at the same I-LEVEL but everything is working properly.

Regards.

Hi! Trying to code FLA with no success. I've coded $5AC VO to CAS, NFRM and KOMBI modules. There is an issue with FLA module - I can't load or read my config from it. Any advice how I can code it? BTW I have no FRM module at all. Does FRM equal to NFRM???

Triple check your wiring. FRM and NFRM is sort of equal...

is it possible to mod such that....

... it automatically turns the highbeams on when it detects a douchebag coming at you with his highbeams on, even though as you were both approaching the same curve in the road, he apparently couldn't be bothered to turn his off, even though you did?

I'm done with these a-holes. Now, when I give them the high beams in retaliation for having theirs on, and they *finally* turn theirs off, I just leave mine on. F em.

just did this on my e92 m3.

i cannot say with certainty that it works as i have yet to hit the highway and test it out...

that being said...

the module shows up in my list of modules, added to vo, and reset the required modules. that part worked.

did anyone have any trouble alligning the 2 covers with the mirror... mine isnt perfect, the camera is 100% visible, but its a bit too high and not aligned properly with the covers.

any ideas?

parts ordered are correct for sure according to realoem. both mirror and covers are brand new.

I have the same problem with the covers but it does not affect to the FLA at all.

I want to do this and I think I'm capable of pulling it off. But what I don't get is which replacement mirror model number is it? I currently have rain sensor and auto dim.

Hi.

I installed the mirror with FLA function to my 2009 E91 LCI with Halogen Headlamps!
I added to VO, and coding it up.
NCS Expert see it...
My problem: The High beam light comes on the instrument panel, I see the FLA sign on the instrument too, but the high beam don't turn on! Looks like everything works fine, only the lights missing....

What do you think might be wrong?

Thank you for your helping...

FLA is incompatible with Halogen lamps, you need to fool your car electronics, it is should think that you have xenon, then wire xenon high beam shutter wires via relay to the halogen high beams

Oh... I'm sad. Then I must retrofit to xenon. No any solution?
Then what I need for retrofit? Only the xenon lamps or any other modules are need?

Thx for your answer
