I dont like having to put effort into things like gloves and orbitals. Rather just get in my zone. Probably heading over to that spot tonight to pick some up.

my friends are trying to convince me to go to Palladium to see ATB and Gabriel and Dresden. *sigh* they bring up a good argument in there being a chance of rain. also, palladium ends at 4am. i want to see the TAO line up so much though! gotta decide tomorrow.

If my big bear trip doesn't work out I'm definitely going to this one. Gabriel and dresden are bigger than daft punk for me. I have almost every release from them. This is the first time they're playing together after 3 years of separation.

Oh and the main stage at TAO is going to be outside. Stupid decision.

i've only heard a couple things from gabriel and dresden. ATB, kinda just whatever for me. I went to that infected mushroom and ATB concert at palladium earlier this year. Awakening i think. it was just aite.

last year tao main stage was outside too. they had a giant tent over the stage though. it was actually pretty cool, you could walk around outside the tent and go to the front if you wanted. otherwise it's really hard to push to the front sometimes. anyways, still in decision process; gotta make up my mind soon.

lol I wasn't planning on it

Every year, I enter the year with a 'bang' if you know what I mean

Don't want to lose that tradition as it's been really helpful in bringing more women into my life throughout the years
Call me superstitious

Plus I've never been to a rave and it doesn't look too fun for me.

Have fun you guys and be safe and don't get arrested/ODed/catch a STD/etc.

^ no. probably 50-70% of people are though. If you enjoy the music, you'll enjoy the event. Drinking and smoking is enough for a lot of people. Some even go sober just for the music and atmosphere (atmosphere can be good or bad... lately more on the bad side, hyped up kids no PLUR)

What you see in videos does not give you the full picture of a rave. I'm kinda over it now, but when I first went, there is always a moment where I look around the stage and see 50K people around me just amped up and having fun. You really get the sense that you're "together as one."

You don't need drugs to have fun at these if you're a fan of the music. Just be ready to have 80% of people around you high on something. Atmosphere is generally positive but there is always shady stuff going around; half the reason is because people are on guard cause there are shady people there. People go to these events to have fun and most people will be nicer than normal. I would say if you're open minded, do try one of these.

DO NOT TAKE DRUGS FROM STRANGERS. I had a friend who did that years ago and the guy's life basically changed overnight. I don't know what he took, but I heard he tripped out that night and called his parents at like 3am after climbing out the window of his apartment and running around the parking lot in his underwear (iirc).
