Been checking the website, will give them a ring today and see if there's anything different, it's been stuck on the same status for a few weeks

Asked my salesman when the car was expected to arrive. This is what he said: The car has not yet been released to carrier yet and is still at the Vehicle Processing Center in Baltimore. We are hoping to receive the car by the end of the week but there is no way to tell just yet. When the car is released to carrier, I will let you know as soon as I find out.

Received the above earlier today.

Also, I had asked about the partial payment which had not yet been executed. Was there a problem?

Salesman said he'd look into that. And I guess he did. Got a text from my credit card company a large purchase -- $2000 -- has been charged to my account. $2000 is what I was told the dealer required as a partial payment.

That's not an HEA. The HEA's were built in Dec and Jan and shipped in February to ports. That's a modifiable car that someone backed out of guaranteed.

Thanks for your insightful response…. Why have a “discussion” forum if everyone knows or doesn’t know the answer to questions. There is a lot of people on here that work with dealers and are huge enthusiasts that might have some insight to answer my question.. then it is discussed. That is what this entire forum is about.

You quoted my contribution to the "discussion." And I happen to be correct. Not a single person on this forum knows when the HEA cars will ship or arrive at the dealership. No one will know until they are shipped.

But there is a definite pattern. People will ask the same question over, and over, and over, with a different answer every time. I just cut to the chase.

HEA's will probably get the green light to arrive at dealerships as soon as the embargo lifts on reviews and impressions. As soon as you see the youtube sub-box flooded with M2 content, they'll start arriving at dealerships. April 3rd sounds perfect with dealers having that week to take pics/video for promo. Custy's will then get to take delivery on the global launch that Saturday (8th of April). Educated guesses, of course.

All the dealerships I've talked to said their HEA cars will available for test drives in 2 weeks. They're already in the US - being held at port. No manuals in my area that I know of though. All 8ZF.

Clearly you are new here, but FYI, the G87 launch is on April 8th.

I'm aware. All the dealerships in my area are holding onto the HEA cars for the time being - at least that's what they've claimed on the phone, so they will be available for test drive as soon as they arrive and go through PDI.
