Hi,
I want to stiffen my suspension as much as possible to reduce body row and improve handling. I currently have the sport package. I don't need the car to be lowered more if don't have to. (maybe another 1/4 is cool, don't want any rubs). Can some please tell me which spring is my best bet? Thanks |

I really like the lowering-spec of EURO-H&R Sport springs.
That spec will give even-drop look(since E90 is higher in the front).. why is it only for europe though? Euro e90 and US e90 different?

Now, I only wish I knew where most of these were available.
I purchased a Pro Kit from tirerack, but thats all i can find. Anyone know where the Blistien shocks can be purchased?

BTW, the Koni website has info on a couple of kits available for the e90.
The first is springs, and second are non-adjustable spring/shock combo The springs lower 1.2"f/??r - part # 6029 The spring/shocks combo that lowers the same 30mm (1.2") - part # 1212 Also says that their coilovers are under development. |

notice there are H&R Sport Springs for the 325/330i (not xi) and then theres another set for 325/330xi. Is this b.s. or is there really a difference in the set of springs. Because the springs for the XI cost 28$ more... yet they list both of them as lowering the car 1.3"/1.2". Also, where is the cheapest place to find these springs. On this site they list it as 259.95 for the xi version and 232.47 for the i version. And even if there was a difference, Turner is either overcharging the XI or undercharging the I because on the H&R site, the sport springs for the xi and i versions both have an msrp of 369.00 |

They had different part numbers for the e46 xi models as well. The suspension is higher (and different) than the non-xi models.
Matter of fact, the front spring/shocks/sways/end links/bushings/etc. are all different part numbers between the xi and non-xi parts. |

HY. I have the m-tech sport suspension (15mm lower than stock), I want to know how lower can i get my ride , I have 18" wheels and 20mm spacers .....

It truly depends on the roads and personal ride feel to you. You could go with a Pss9 and adjust it for a few hours till you get the right height and wheel feel. Just remember the lower your car the stiffer you want your ride. since you have 18" if you don't want a stiffer ride keep it as is. If you hit a pothole at night or something else your shock can't travel very far b4 bottoming out. Which may ruin your day,shcok and rim. If you have a set budget think about a adjustable suspention. Also remember the first time you go down a new road may be the last time, potholes, dips, debrisall could f- your sweet ride up.

What i meant to put was the lower your car is due to the springs and shocks combo the stiffer your ride will be.

I think he meant that the lower you go, the stiffer the suspension NEEDS to be so it doesnt bottom out all the time. If you have 3" of travel and 200lbs/inch springs you will bottom out when the force on the suspension gets to 600lbs. if you lower the car to leave 2" of travel, the same springs will bottom out with only 400lbs of force. this may be not enough, and cause the car to bottom out at the slightest bump. If however your replacment springs are stiffer (for this example 300lbs/in) you are back to needing 600lbs to bottom out the suspension, which is the same as the manufacturer decided was enough. (for this example) The downside is the ride will be harder, as the springs will transmit more shock to the car.

i got a question....I have a E92 335i with sport package right now so like I buy Eibach Pro-Kit 0.6" --> OEM Stock BMW Sports Suspension 1.2" / 1.0" --> Eibach Pro-Kit (part # 2085.140) the drop of the car will be 1.2" - 0.6" = 0.6" only? and rear is 0.4"? Thanks |

I'd like confirmation on that as well.
It sounds like the drop for the E90 and for the E92 is different. The H&R sport springs are listed at 1.2" drop for an E90 w/ non sport springs. But an E92 driver put H&R sport springs on his car and got 1.2" drop from sport springs... What I'm wondering is if the Eibach Pro-Kit will drop my car (E92 w/ sport springs) 1.2"? Or if it will drop the car .06" like it would drop an E90 that already had sport suspension? Has anybody put the Eibach Pro-kit on an E92 yet? |
