Agreed! I wouldn't ever just change the gasket on this motor. Valve cover and gasket as a combo is a must.

Totally agree, I replaced gasket 10,000 miles ago, should have just replaced all of it.

I think the shape of the cover is the hardest part. That was why I was thinking just jbweld etc the pcv chamber ports into the intake runners. Then run a vac pump on the rb pcv valve and maybe add some oil sprayers because you'll remove most of the oil as vapour instead of it condensing and gravity feeding the rockers.

I pulled mine apart in order to scan it and then mill a new revised one that would run both the pcv valves through separate check valves to an occ before going to the exhaust for suction, but never put any time into it after the cut up phase. Would be a fun project to pick back up if I had the time...

Yeah I think an exhaust scavenge system wouldn't work very well. The turbos eat most of the gas velocity. A vac pump and in certain applications a vac pump+dry sump pump would get the crankcase into the -15" zone that really makes power.

3000gt Mr and I were planning on doing some manometer testing through the oil cap and using a regulator on the scavenge to make sure we didn't pull too much vacuum with the big single and to monitor while under vacuum and then assess things analytically before moving on because an exhaust scavenge setup would be the easiest option.

I have lots of interesting ideas. However most of them are hard to verify prior to buying the parts. I picked up a S54 throttle body I wanted to see if we can get a cable actuated throttle body conversion working. Then we can use mustang 90mm throttle bodies. Will it work maybe. I got the part for cheap so we will see.

easiest way to counter high vacuum if it does work is something like this http://www.gzmotorsports.com/VCV102B...rol-Valve.html

I wAs forced to change my valve cover because my old was cracked between cylinders 2 and 3 at 60k I now have 65k on my car so from this thread I'm guessing every 100k we have to change the valve cover now ? I'm fully bolted on running Cobb stage 2+ And change my oil every 7k with liquid moly top tech 5w 30

If you are using top tec 4200 5w30 then it is synthetic technology Not full synthetic. Even their website says that (because in europe you cant false market synthetic oil). I use Total 0w30 100% synthetic. If you are interested i can provide you other synthetic options as well.

Sorry didn't notice this. The thing your quoting is just a vaccum breaker. If you are interested in going to a vacuum scavenge system you'll need to do one of the following. Add a belt driven vacuum pump, add an electric vacuum pump or convert the stock pump to a scavenge pump. Once you have a vacuum source you need to plumb it into the valve cover likely via the FI PCV port. Plastic weld the NA PCV ports closed and add some oil squirters to protect the valve train as you are eliminating the stock supplemental oiling. This is all part of a serious build I was planing to pair it with a dry sump system and custom intake to maximize the benifets.
