Curious on the launch details. 1.9 seems a little high for a DCT with slicks on. Can you provide some details?

the DCT in the 135 is a bitch to launch right. i can't controll the launch RPM and the stock control just dumps the clutch at 3.5K RPM's so it's not like the M DCT at all. And i agree, 1.9 with slicks is pathetic. The track that i go to is very busy and sometimes it's hard to get more then 2 runs in one night and this is the second time that i had the slicks so i'm still getting the feel for sticke tires with no LSD. Also, the DCT in the 135 won't let you brake boost, it won't even accelerate if the brake pedal is depressed...so you'r forced to use the launch control. No worries, i'll get it right. |

By the looks of it, his car would be any easy 11 second car with any weight reduction, meth, etc. 2011 135i DCT, fully loaded w/ baby seat. BMS Stage1 Tuning, 3/19 firmware, 6.25psi over stock settings. BMW 2.40.1 DME firmware. 3/4 tank of 91 octane with NOS octane booster. AR 4" Downpipe. K1 rims all around with 245/45 Nitto 555Rs out back. How its driven daily. 58 degree weather, sea level track, probably close to 100' DA. No meth, no race gas, no catback system, no intercooler, no intake, no drop in filter, no BS chargepipe, no seat removal, etc. The car managed a best of quarter mile of 12.1@115mph w/ 1.9 60'. 0-60 was 3.8 seconds, and 0-100 was 9.0 seconds.

I posted the link below awhile ago. 12.7@111.6 w/ JB+ only. Also another customer posted a 12.9@109 Stage1 only somewhere. I have a feeling now with the new Stage1 firmware and AR 4" downpipes becoming more popular a lot more great N55 times will pour in.

manufacturer's documentation...
"The NT555R is a D.O.T.-compliant competition drag radial designed for maximum flexibility. You can drive your car to the strip and launch with extreme grip down the track - all without changing your tires. The NT555R features a high grip compound and a large contact patch for dry handling. The specially formulated soft racing compound is molded at 6/32 of an inch to provide improved traction. With grip and control, the NT555R is the perfect performance radial for the street or strip. "

They aren't as radical drag tires as the MT ET Streets, or Hoosiers for that matter. (Hoosiers are what I last used as drag radials, but would never daily drive on them like my NT555Rs.) I think they pretty much perform almost as good as my NTO5Rs also. And they are good for consistant 3.4-3.5 second 0-60 times in my car.

Only problem is most people won't run 17" wheels on their cars daily, which is the only applicable size the NT555Rs come in that will work on our cars.
