I bought the non-slim version when they were still selling it. No problems for over 6 months now.

Does DDM know what is needed for these Pre-07 cars? My car has a build date of 09/06 and I was thinking about getting HID fogs. Wanted to make sure I got everything needed to install though..

What he means by that is flipping the OEM socket around that goes into the HID ballast. Kind of like the polarity of an LED bulb. This is common btw

should not have caused that. It is my understanding that if they are put in with the polarity reversed they simply dont work. No damage to anything. Did you check the sequence or order that things are connected to make sure it is how they say to in the instructions? Is the error canceller before the light and after the ballast or after the light and ballast or....?

i have the ddm slim kit and with the capacitor mod works great.....dont listen to all these others about you get for what you paid because in life its not always the case....get the ddm kit and get the capacitors for 20 bucks and with some soldering skills these will work for half of what a mtech kit will run you!

i have an 09 and i tried both the type 3 and type 4 and none of them worked but i heard someone got their car to work on the type 3...so i would go with that one if anything...but your better off making your own capacitor mod..

yeah well the 3 works for my lowbeams perfectly. Flawlessly if i may add. Buy for the foglights they blew up on me like literally. The stuff inside came out there was a giant hole in the capacitor and it smelled horrible with grease everywhere. So ill try to make my own capacitor mod see if that works out.

yeah its easy bro....just make sure you solder and seal the connectors otherwise they will erode the wire and the connections! I see your in MPK area if you need a hand in soldering i dont mind doing it for you if you wanna make the drive to OC. Good luck!

*BEWARE*

I bought an HID kit from DDM Tuning for my E55 about 6 months ago, and it never came. They tracking number showed it shipped, but I never recieved it. I emailed DDM Tuning reguarding this, and they pretty much said "TOUGH SH!T". I will never do business with them again, and i would like to express caution for others when doing so.
