crazy power regardless
Kenneth, my baseline is 262 rwhp and I think Shiv had a baseline of 287 rwhp on his dyno. I suspect this is just dyno to dyno difference.

But only if there is a good cool down between runs. In this case, the car never had the opportunity to pick up power between the rapid fire runs.

We also dyno'd on a cooler day which probably explains much of the 2% difference in power.
I needed to prove the repeatability of the kit. I know it isn't ideal, but I really wanted to show people what to expect if they get the kit. The results are the same run after run after run.

FWIW, the 287 baseline run was for a 6MT car with dci and axle back. Closest i had to stock in my dyno database

But if you dyno'd stock at 262whp, the dynojet you are using could very well be a low reader.

Ilma, thank you! As always, this review will be transparent and people will be able to draw conclusions based on solid data.

I think it has a lot to do with the restriction from the tiny turbos is gone. I does sound more throaty now than it did before, but oddly it is more quiet in normal rev ranges. It is a very calm and tame car at low rpms.

Because of the manifold design and the fact that all 6 cyl merge into one collector. Instead of having two banks of 3 cylinders merge together (one for each turbo). So basically, you are hearing a proper inline-6 instead of two inline-3s. The lack of exhaust pressure (from the big turbo) also contributes to the rich drone-free exhaust note.

@FBIS - i was thinking of going to a single exhaust solution (custom muffler shop) and then put a 328i bumper on it. It will drop some weight and I'm seeing if i can make the overall solution flow better and quieter.

I think the single turbo + single exhaust + 328 bumper = maximum sleeper

Oh, ok. Well it sounds MUCH better than the stock turbos.

I personally like the look of duals. I have an Arkym CF diffuser on the back, so it looks great in there!

Love the sound of that 62mm spooling. Dude, please make us an in car video. Action. Like tomorrow or something. Do it simple, have someone hold an iPhone in the passenger lol, that will suffice for now. Congrats on this, car must be awesome.

FBIS -Thanks for the data and dyno video. Do you have a oil cooler upgrade? If you can recall, how were your oil temps during the back-to-back dyno pulls? Do you think a upgraded oil cooler is a necessity with this kit?

One last thing. What is your meth mix?

My car was an early production and had no oil cooler at all temps were fine. Im installing an ER sport oil cooler and have a BMW performance 2nd oil cooler. That's where my car is right now.
