WOW! You put it perfect and I dont think anyone can say it any better than you. Ill never understand why people refuse to answer something that has been answered before even though they know the answer. A lot of people need to grow up and help their fellow forum members out.
Perfect aside from flawed logic and incoherent sentence structure.

Haha I need attention right? I have thousands of posts right? Typical e90 behavior is asking which intake to buy, users with thousands of posts at a 6th grade education level, pathetic vocabulary, and enough worthless redundancy to retard progress for who knows how much longer.

As I posted earlier, I see your point. With that being said, whenever the forum starts annoying me, I just take that as a sign I need to take a break from it for awhile.

Sihk I don't know what you do for a living... But I hope it doesnt involve leadership, and heres why I say that:

Catch a fish, feed a man for a meal. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime. So what is a "roll" model? Is a role model someone who spoon feeds helplessness, or someone who bases behavior on principles and tries to make a positive difference for others? I'm not acting like I'm better, I don't believe I am whatsoever. Im probably worse in many ways, like hurting other peoples feelings and stuff.

Apparently I'm the only one continually bothered by how "positively" reinforced helplessness really is around here.

Let's be role models and spoon feed those with two capable hands that won't take them out of their pockets then, ok? Let's increase the welfare check every time someone pops out another illegitimate child from god knows which of the men they were with so that they can go get another mani/pedi and a few fake coach purses. While the comparison is extreme, it's the same mentality. Hardly role model material.

Equal rights for all, regardless of productivity or worth!

Im referring to the threads where people ask which part they should buy and five pages later all of the roll models post whats in their signature and vendors rep what they sell. The latter is more permissible than the former, but at what point do we raise the bar?

Not like we drive some exotic car... truth is, there are a lot of 335i owners these days that do have a 6th grade education and a pathetic vocabulary. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's not the same crowd of drivers that bought the car brand new, all I'm saying. (probably going to get flamed for that statement...)

Easier way to solve clutter: When you see a dumb redundant post, just briefly answer it and give the person a tip on what to search for in the future. Done. Case Closed.

When you post things like "GOD CAN YOU READ?!?! DO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" it just creates more posts.

This is a decent point for technical inquiries. Good information changes as people learn. "Which intake should I buy I want fifteen horsepowers for as cheap as possible" is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

First paragraph, true. Regarding your second paragraph, there should be a standard response- "search". Worst case scenario, they are still indecisive about how they want to modify their vehicles. Best case scenario, they dive through the archives and learn a lot, which creates more interest and that interest with initiative leads to an acceleration of progress.

The delivery was brash and impetuous, pardon my being straight-forward. All ruffled feathers aside-

Let's take initiative and be real role models by deciding to do what may not be easiest but what's best for real learning and not spoon feeding. I've tried to suggest this before to no success... But, how about we create an end all intake thread, end all FMIC thread, end all every common bolt on "how should I modify my car" thread. It would take the pain out of searching, maintain timely relevance, direct people towards their general questions and help them derive their own solutions, acquiring knowledge throughout the process. These threads could open with every current option, pictures, prices, install guides and tips, websites through which they can purchase the products, data on how the modification performs (to those who make decisions based on such a silly thing ) and anything else we as a forum dedicated to progress find pertinent.

So, in summary... It's not about tolling or thinking I'm better. It's about recognizing what it takes to bring about the kind of progress that we want. We need roll models to stop repping whats in their signature every time someone asks the ever repeated questions, and start embracing a new attitude that will lead to a far more enjoyable forum and accelerated progress. Its disheartnening to some because while we all like these forums a lot, it would take little more than a bit of organization to make them so much better for those new and learning as well as those who have been around for years. And then we would all like them even more! I guess for me it boils down to not understanding why it's so hard... Thats all, the end. Have a good weekend everyone.

You do realize that your infesting your own thread with useless junk of your own posts. You are whats classified as an attention hog.

Wanting attention from other forums members, Asking questions that you already know the answer to or looking for advice about something even thought nobody will change your mind.

I.e.

Thread title....... " what color Alpine white or Montego BLUE HEEEELLLPPP!! ".

Threads like these destroy and infest forums with garbage.

It is pretty fucking annoying seeing the same threads being created over and over again. Hell, I've seen more than a hand full of times the same "which xxxx should I buy?" more than once on the first page.

IMO the only post allowed in such a thread is "search" and then lock the damn thing.

Making people butthurt doe$n't boo$t vendor $ale$, though.

Until then, bimmperpost will encourage a culture of dependent and thin skinned sheep...that all happen to run the same tune, downpipes, wheels, FMIC, tires, etc. Like the kids that shop at Hot Topic: uniquely identical.

And that's why this will never really be a "technical" discussion board.

Jon,

I apologize for not understanding your post, help me if my reading comprehension is down at the moment. I completely miss the meaning behind the first sentence no matter how many times I reread it. I can see how people without much depth of thought or observation would see this as a cry for attention, and I don't fault anyone for thinking that. It could be seen that way without a small effort to think critically. At the risk of continuing to hurt feelings (this is not directed towards anyone specifically and to each his/her own) if I were an e90post whore with a super creative page, all sorts of "friends", super duper custom signature, all sorts of pictures of my really special car, etc. then I would definitely see why people would think I am trying to get e90post attention. I've never even met anyone from e90post to my recollection.

I don't know exactly what kind of advice I purportedly am looking for... I intended on making light of something that never fails to disappoint me, every time I sign on. You conclude by substantiating the purpose for creating this thread- that this forum is and has been deteriorating rapidly with threads like the example you illustrated.

I don't care if anyone knows me or recognizes me, generally speaking as well as on e90post. If I did I would have bought rims first jk sorta

Anyways... sorry we aren't seeing eye to eye, but sort of are, but I can't really tell...
