Got a few codes I need resolution on:

2C90 (11408)
2774 (10100) This is a Tuner Code: "air mass too high in relation to model" So N55 owners keep a watchful eye for this one
2778 (10104)
277A (10106)
2BEF (11247)

Any ideas on what these are? (besides the one that I recently found out about)

Make sure you SAVE this to your hard drive first and then rename the extension from .txt to .xls.
I repeat...change the extension to .xls so you will be able to see the spread sheet that is meant to be viewed.

I have sorted everything by the code but the good thing about this spread sheet is that you can sort or filter everything by the way you want.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge with the code 29D3?

On another code note, what in the world would cause codes 2AAD (fuel pump emergency off) and 29F3 (fuel pressure sensor) to be thrown? Tuning issue? Anything to worry about? On this same note, last time in the dealer they did replace my HPFP and a couple of injectors......could it be related to this?

I took my US spec car into a dealer here in Germany for a SES light. Turns out they had to replace 3 fuel injectors, charged ny 1/2 price for the parts and full price for labor??? Should the labor been free too since the injectors were under the SA? Anyway a month later i took the car back and they read my key and printed out the CBS info (in German) and it says i have a DTC Code 29CC. After translation i came up with Air intake temp sensor. Is this somehthing a half knowledgeable grease monkey can replace or will i need the computer re coded?

I did not see a fix listed for 2A2D, I also get 2AAF coming up.

The one I am trying to fix at present is 93B1, Not Present, MRS:Head airbag, right.

We are getting the typical airbag light on with the seat belt light. Could this be the airbag sensor / pad in the passenger seat.

All,

I have created a spreadsheet with an assembly of all the fault codes (that I had access to) and placed an input sheet on front so that you can type in your JB4 code and it will convert it to a fault code and then return for you, the fault description. If you already know the fault code, you can type that directly into the bottom section to get the description of the fault. You will note that I have left an example entry into each section.

Happy to get some feedback on this. There are 790 individual fault codes in this list.

Note, when you download the attached file, make sure you rename the extension from .txt to .xlsm or it won't work for you.


Happy to receive edits to this list or additions as it is likely to be a far from exhaustive listing.

Note, it is a protected worksheet in order to prevent accidental deletions of formulas etc however, if you want to customise it for your own use/reasons, the password to unlock it is blank ie. no password.

I recently did an oil change and brake fluid change on my '08 E90. I updated the Bavarian Technic software to the latest version, and when I tried to reset the CBS for oil change, brake fluid service, and vehicle inspection, I was only able to reset the oil change. In the past I had trouble resetting and contacted them. Their response was to install an older version, I think 1.8.6.0. I started with the next older one, and then the next. Luckily I still had some older software in my downloads folder. 1.8.6.6 did not work, but finally 1.8.6.0 did. Maybe if you can try this, find the older version in your download folder and try to see if the Bavarian Technic works properly again?

Unfortunately I cannot find a single one of these codes in any thread or website ....

Any thoughts on where I can get this info so I understand my car better?
