I couldn't justify spending the extra for the powerfill. I can handle the awkward. I used a turkey baster to remove brake fluid, and tried to drain old oil with a broken transfer pump. Oil got EVERYWHERE. Now I have newer, higher quality equipment.

I don't consider it a thread hijack. As long as we're still talking about things related to the 335d then we're good. I'm actually getting valuable information out of all of this, so life is good.

My (metal, decent workmanship) fluid transfer pump does 0.5 quart per stroke and cost $15 on Amazon.

No worries Yozh and glad to see OP use slightly longer, perhaps smaller OD hose. I agree, it is slightly awkward (especially on jack stands) and the supplied hose just barely squeezes into the tranny fill plug, but it worked. Just had my son help fill the gun off to the side of car while I was underneath with temp gun and getting liquid in
