Try turning it OFF if you have the option. See if it makes any difference. I am not sure why that will make the problem temperature dependent (cold or warm), but give it a try.

6HP can disengage the torque converter clutch when the vehicle is stopped and in idle to save fuel. And re-engages when you let off the brakes. I do not know if ZF does that in every 6HP transmission.

I did reset the ZF adaptations one time after changing the valve body seals. It did shift a little rough for a few miles. I just tried to accelerate slowly and smoothly, and decelerate smoothly several times. And learned not to reset adaptations unless absolutely necessary. LOL The transmission will eventually relearn.

Maybe we search the problem there.
Could you fix the problem with the solenoids change?

If it was me, that's what I would change next.

My transmission was doing all kinds of weird stuff when I got my car a few years ago. I pulled the valve body, installed all new seals, new filter, new fluid......transmission did the same weird stuff.

I pulled the valve body again, changed all of the shift solenoids, transmission now shifts perfect.

Change the shift solenoids.

I will replace the solenoids and hope that fixes the problem.

From the information provided in this thread, seals don't seem to be the cause of this prticular issue.

Guy who posted this issue in the first place never came back to update the forum.

Solenoids is one thing that wasn't addressed with this guys case. And who knows if he followed proper oil filling procedure. Says his mechanic did it. Majority of mechanics are all hacks when it comes to this stuff.
