I doubt any US machine shop would do that for $77. We have lawyers in this country. I'd bet half the machine shops wouldn't touch that job (simple as it is) for liability reasons.

I dont understand why BMW would market these brakes for 325s and 328s when the rears dont fit.
Also it states they fit 330i which doesnt make sense as I thought 330s and 335s had the same brakes. The previous posts show that the new rear rotor resembles the 330,335 rotor which we all know doesnt accept the 325/328 parking brake. Someone has to clear this up

All show and no (slow) ?
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=322342 Isn't the PB upgrade based on the 135i brakes? Multi piston fixed calipers? If you are going to track your car, the performance brake kit can be quite dangerous. Specifically, see http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...15&postcount=6 |

Front caliper family tree: Front discs are not German made: Rear caliper family tree: Rear discs are German made: Install instructions not very BMW looking: I just completed the final step of the PBK install which is DSC recoding - SSS station adding the parameter - Retrofit Sports Brake. The characteristics of the braking seemed to have change a little based on my feel. More rear biased compared to without the re-code after the PBK install. I wouldn't think that the DSC module actually regulates front/rear brake bias and only kicks in, during emergency situations. Again, its hard to tell for sure, but it sure feels that way. End result close-up shot :

If you are running stock pads and try to track the car and have intermediate or greater driving skill, you are asking for a hurtin'. Your pads will probably fade in the span of 3 laps.

I successfully installed the full PB conversion on my ‘06 325i E90. I also converted my suspension over M3 control arms and installed all SPL fully adjustable control arms. Between all the part for the suspension and brakes, Im in at and around $5k. When it came to doing the rear brakes l, thats where everybody is having a difficult time with the parking brake i see. What i ended up doing is stripping the lining off the old shoes being 160mm and cut the the inner rings of the new 185mm shoes and stacked the shoes and welded the shoes together. Being thats its just a parking brake and my car is a 6 speed, I needed the parking brake. This mod helps alleviate the confusion with which hubs need to be installed and bearings and the whole bit. The mod works and the parking brakes hold. If anybody has questions. I’ll be happy to answer. The Performance Brake setup looks very nice.
