I probably would to avoid lines, but Glebe Car Wash is 5 blocks from my place, and only open during the day (it's indoor/heated wash bays).

I am actually fed up with the female staff appearance.
Their female staff used to be all cute and semi-sexy. Now, they are all bulky and slow.

Just a heads up - Just got off the phone with Elite BMW - they will be charging a user fee for loaners when your car is in for service starting next month...so if you have been putting anything off and you want a loaner - get it done before march

and yes I am unhappy with this new development...just throwing that out there

Is this even if you bought your car through them?

Yup - picked up an 06 330xi CPO from them this time last year...still have a year and half or so on my CPO...

Apparrently - it was a dealership management decision - not a BMW canada one...the SA on the phone said it was to be in line with what others are doing - not sure if he means other BMW dealerships but I know at least infiniti dealers are not charging for loaners...

I never like that particular dealer. They are super shady in all practices.
The other dealer near the airport is better.

Cool Subsidize this......

That's how much any Enterprise Car Rental in Ottawa charge daily ($19.95/day) for average cars.
No subsidy, it's just simply a group rate (BMW dealers rent a bunch of cars for a bunch of their customers).
I love showing up to work with A horse and buggyto mess with people.

At elite when I walk in there are 1-2 young girls who look and want to be talked to...which I oblige. In Toronto its normal for people in their 20's to have a bimmer, not so in Ottawa I guess.

doesn't mean anything, Otto's does need new staff though.

Cool

Are you sure those young ones at Elite not trying to sell you the 5 series?
That is why I drive my 4x4 F-350 turbo diesel in GTA or GVRD.
I just don't want to fit "the stereotype".

I have 18's (225/40 Blizzak runflats) on my 330xi right now and sometimes I cringe coming from orleans on the 17 -...I've already banged one of my wheels and had to do an alignment one other time. Even going into the mall one has to be careful as there are some massive potholes in parking lots.

IMHO - 20 or 19 are great in southern cali where they dont have to worry about freezing rain/runoff causing massive cracks and potholes but not so good up here - and if you're ever in Hull/Quebec - the roads feel even worse...

I've heard that going to non-runflats have improved ride quality but some have said that they miss the instant response at turn-in as the sidewall flexes. Also Im not 100% sure but I dont think that there are any 19" runflats so there is that as well...

I also thought about 19s for the summer as well but im going to stick with 18s for the summer as well for all the reasons stated above.

It probably is that.

There is always an angle for them.

Anyone know a good place to get a 335 aligned in Ottawa?

I know dealership Elite does a good job (Otto's does not, can't centre the wheel...too lazy to do so, and I know exactly how to centre a steering wheel), but they are pricey

Clairvoyant..and ideas?
