No. I don't live in Tennessee. It's over $103,000 I've spent on my car total ownership costs.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

you're like 100,000 miles / 160,000km shy of Efthreeoh and GogglesPisano.
I have a motor on a stand (that still ran when the car was wrecked) with 280,000 miles / 450,000km on it. |

Is it just me, but that seems like a lot of $$ for 300k miles?

125k checking in, just went out of extended warranty and had some leaks fixed. Seems to be strong, transmission feels herky jerky sometimes, probably need to change the fluid sometime soon. (if it dies i'll just find a 6mt, not sure how difficult the conversion is though...)

Holey shieeet. How many years have you had it? Rough breakdown of how much of that is repairs/modifications? Is that like gas/insurance included too?

If he's had it for 12 years, it's not that much at all. How many people blow $40k on a new car ever 3 years? Plus running costs it's not going to be less.

This number includes gasoline, parts, insurance if I'm not mistaken. He posted his spreadsheet a while back.

I post such information periodically just for the interests of the E90 community to let them know how far at least one E90 has gone and others can go, if they want to take it that far. I never intended to keep it this long with this level of mileage. My target for any BMW I've owned is 250,000, but the E90 has turned out to be a tank. But it's a unique situation because I built a compete autoshop on my property with a lift and air (all in all it was about $35K) and I probably have close to $5,500 in tools if I had to replace all of them at once (collected over 40 years of wrenching on cars and houses). I've been DIY'ing on cars since before I could drive, and in particular 4 of my own BMWs in total since 1988. All that useless crap said, here are the E90 numbers to date. The fuel cost is a bit extrapolated because I've not taken the time to add in the 9 months of 2018 gas data so I used 2017's data (Jan - Oct 10th) as a place holder. So these costs are total purchase price with loan costs, fuel, maintenance, and repairs. Excluded from the $112K is my estimated DIY labor of $18K. I don't include insurance costs since that really is not completely vehicle specific and more to do with age, driving record, and locality. For me, I keep hitting deer; 4 now in total. Oh, and my beagle bit the living shit out of the fenders and bumper cover once in the summer of 2009
