I've been contemplating either the black AG 359 18x8.5" square set up vs the black Alzor 18x9" square set up. Trying to find people who've gone the Alzor route and hear what they have to say.
I've read almost nothing but good about the AG stuff.
Sidebar I love how ECS prices fluctuate like a menopausal woman playing with a thermostat. Randomly something will be more expensive or the shipping more expensive in the matter of a month without any cause or reason.

Fitment of this combo is a "safe" fitment on the E9X, no rubbing issues etc. Just a more aggressive than stock rear fitment (close to the fender but not sticking out).

IF you wanted a rather close to flush fitment a 10mm/12.5mm spacer combo or 12.5mm/15mm spacer combo would put you there. Which I'd go with depends on how "fat" the tires you're going to put on the wheels run.

By that rationale, the 18x9" square setup should also work on an e9x (specifically, my e90 335i xDrive), right? I'd prefer a more aggressive stance all the way around so rather than get the 18x8's and push them out with 10-12mm spacers like you mentioned, the 9" front wheel will naturally sit out 11.7mm further than the 8" (according to my online calculator). Any issue with rubbing inside up front? I can't imagine 13.7mm further inside would cause any issues, but please let me know if you think it would!! I'm also leaning toward 255/35/18 so that does add a bit of rubber on each side too, since it's technically wider than the wheel.

How much heavier are they compared to your previous setup? I wanted to pull the trigger on them but at 28lbs each wheel i had to pass

18 x 8 or 18 x 9.

Front tire dimension shouldn't be a concern. Most people rarely go over 235 width in the front unless they run 245 square. In either case, 18 x 8 or an 18 x 9 can handle a 245 width.

However, a 225 width might not fit an 18 x9 rim. You need to double check that.

The question of the day is rear width. If you ever plan on going above 245 in the rear, you will want the 18 x 9 rim.

The 18 x 9 rim will allow sizes of 255 & 265 in the rear. I think to go 275 in the rear, you need 18 x 9.5

I know this is an old thread, and hoping someone can help out to validate fitment. Have 2011 E90 328xi with current 17" 225/45/17. Looking to go to these Alzor 030 wheels, and want to get recommendation on two potential set ups.

Set up #1
18x8 all around wheels - - 245/40/18 all around
or
Set up #2
18x8 front, 18x9 rear - 245/40/18 all around

This is an xDrive car and want to make sure I don't run into issues with xDrive. Then trying to check for fit of size wheels/tires.

Currently have 12mm space on front and 17.5mm ECS spacer on rear with 17's. Would look to reuse or remove based on spacing of above options.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully ECS can give specific guidance as well.

Yes. I am lowered and running 18x9 ET30 with 245/35/18 tires front and zero rubbing.

those are nice looking wheels 6ixSpd....what are they and what do they weigh?

i have an 18x8.5 255/35 rear tire/wheel which seems much larger than others are running? when i did the VIN decoder on the car i just picked up it mentioned a "wide tire package" option, so maybe that is why.

i'm really trying hard not to spend money on what is supposed to be my daily kid hauler, but the tires are close enough to gone that i might just do wheels at the same time. as it seems silly to go with a smaller tire than factory, i'd love to just do a 18x8.5 or 18x9 with 255/35 square setup. i also need to make sure it'll work with a marginally lowered car (likely just some H&R or eibach springs).

i haven't found anybody running that much tire yet, though 6ixSpd is close.

Yes this is an old thread, but I wanted to help try and bring some closure to some of these "will it fit" threads because I searched every one for a month, reached out to ECS, looked at other forums, and there was NO solid answer really for what I wanted.

So I'm going to share my setup, looks, and clearance.

• Wheels: Alzor 030 18x9 square setup. ET35 backspacing
• Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4's, 245/40/R18
• Suspension :Strutmonkey SM230 kit. This is the Billy B8 strut with the BMW M-Performance spring from Europe (yellow springs). They sit slightly lower than sport/msport height that came in North America

How the car sits (note, it might settle a bit from here, but not much. I had been driving and hit some pretty nasty stuff in the road so they should mostly be settled...this was with the new suspension installed):













The one thing that really had no answers was clearance. So I messed around with different spacers in front to ensure there was room. 5mm was a bit too much clearance but filled out the fender well in the front and maybe stuck out a little bit. I removed them and installed the wheel and it was really close but not rubbing. Here's where I settled: 3mm spacers in front (none in back). The photos show there is plenty of strut clearance and I probably could have ran them without and spacers but I'm gonna stick with this setup for now.







The other thing that has been debated is if a real BMW center cap (or knock off) can fit the Alzor rims instead of using the sticker. I took a gamble on some AliExp. 68mm BMW caps and they fit PERFECT. So, no stickers here:
