Same thing with the new refreshed '08 5 series. They changed the interior and door panels, and the new window buttons are way too far away, and I am always putting the rear windows down too. Drives me nuts!!!!

Is this confirmed? I realize the M uses a different steering wheel, but I figured they would start making it with heat since the lower 3er models will have it as an option... Not that it matters, I cant afford one, but I definitely would NOT let it keep me from buying one if I had the means...

I like the heated steering wheel. I also like the showline A LOT but I do not really like the new sport package wheels. They are nice but the 162's look WAY better. I cant wait to see the LCI with 162's instead of the plain 5 spoke wheels it is coming with.
My lease is up in May and I have decided to go with a 135i over the new LCI 335i. The 3 looks better but the 1 just drives so well and the brakes are incredible. With more power after modified the 135i brakes will be much better than the 3i and will be able to handle the car without an issue. I have driven a 335i with more power and the brakes were fine but I plan to Auto-X the next car so the 1 is a better choce for me. I just wish it looked like the 335i sedan/coupe. I am driving in the car alone all the time, being my wife and I just got an X3 about three months ago. The 135i will be better for a better choice for me. If not it would have been hard to not get a 335i 4 door because I like the changes except the hood and wheels. I can not wait to go to training on friday and see the LCI e90 and get to learn the new I-Drive. I will report back to everyone after playing with the new I-Drive myself and seeing the car in person.

I saw a 128i on the freeway just yesterday. As there was quite a bit of traffic, I had thirty minutes or so to check out the car from a few angles. Sorry, but that thing is just fugly. Most of the BMW designs have grown on my over time (except the back end of the current e90 that's just nasty), but I've seen plenty of pictures of the 1 series and now a few in real life, and it's still really ugly to me.

Heated steering wheel option is only for standard and sport steering wheel for e90/91/92/93. Not for M or Individual steering wheels.
The 5 series will get the new iDrive in Q4 (october).

There is a heated steering wheel on the M5, so it may make it's way onto the M3. The PDC is the biggest change to options, hopefully they put a button in the car so you can turn it on and off!

I've never understood front or rear PDC on anything but full-sized cars and suv's...
I'm quite confident in knowing my cars dimensions, I think the "dots" in the bumpers clutter up a clean look...

This is the first document I've seen from BMW that confirms the E92 will have the new iDrive!!! Also, heated steering wheel for both. See the document for details on which updates apply to the E92. |

09 diesel no start?
No start on diesel is opening them up for a nice lawsuit. When that one chucklehead forgets or just doesnt refill the special fluid and gets stuck in the middle of nowhere and is hurt or dies or some other bad thing happens and they cant start their car...... How about a limp mode instead of no start......
I wanted a new Diesel but i dont like the idea of not starting because of lack fluid. Plus the gas mileage isnt that much better. i know its got to get better that the listed value. Crap do I have to get a VW Diesel sportwagon? Lawrence 2006 330i

^ ever heard of Road-Side Assistance?
Problem SOLVED! Seriously though, I'm sure there is a level indicator just as there is for fuel, if you run out how is it any more BMW's fault than if you had run the car out of fuel?

It is actually much more obvious than merely a level indicator. At 1000 miles remaining, an yellow notification appears in on the instrument panel clearly counting down the miles remaining before the vehicle will not start:
At 200 miles, the advisory turns red and becomes a warning: When the countdown reaches 0 miles, the vehicle will no longer start. I don't believe the vehicle will shut down when you reach 0, but I've not seen official word there. You can hardly claim that you had no idea the DEF was low or that you were stranded unknowingly in a remote area. If you fail to heed the notification and the warning, you've only yourself to blame.
