I'm looking to sell my car and hop on an I 135/335i MT well see..But being an XI owner for the past 6 years or so and having my Set Positioning Motor/Servo Motor take a crap on me and being FBO and scared to drive it hard i have to step away from it.
But count me in for $25 or whatever it is going to be and contact me cause i dont frequently check the XI section, but i'd love to see something for XI being made and who knows maybe someday i come back to it. So yes add me to the list.

I would recommend considering Jack's Transmissions in Colorado Springs. He does high performance rebuilds on manual transmissions, specializing in Mitsubishis but has done a BMW tranny before. He's also worked on a lot of transfer cases, is an expert in that area, and will be doing my work as soon as I need any. Custom work is no problem and he enjoys figuring out ways to make things better. His test bench that he uses to test rebuilt transmissions prior to delivering them to the customer is a great example of that. I'm in, and can work with him if needed to help get him parts to look at...

Thanks for the offer. In my shorter experience, a personal connection to a reputable company will increase the integrity of the work, making it all more worth while for everyone who participates. I'd be interested in hearing what you are able to work out with Jack's Transmissions, given the acclaimed experience and knowledge, which I have no reason to doubt. A shop like this may be a better way to go, price-wise, than a company like VAC that may (or may not) use its reputation to increase pricing. I'm no voice of authority, but feel free to create a proposal for JT and report back. Thanks. |

Very good. I look forward to his response. I spoke with Dzenno and it doesn't look like this is within his shop's capabilities. He said that he could extend references to shops that may be able to help, so thats an option too.
