As for compatibility, we can only go by what BMW lists for these vehicles. Once some customers try to retrofit and report back, we can go from there. Quote:

It's the same brakes that come with the 135i, which are smaller than the 335i stock brakes. The stock 335i brakes are 348mm, this "upgrade" is 338mm. |

Totally incorrect - A. These are not 335i performance brake kits, so why compare the components to 335i brake parts? E90 330i front rotors are 330mm. So, 330mm to 338mm is a considerable "upgrade". B. These are not the same calipers that are standard on the 135i, either. These are the BMW Performance yellow 6-piston calipers, which are significantly larger than the stock 135i calipers. Totally different part number, appearance, and size as well. |

Better check your facts Jason, take a 135i stock front caliper and hold it beside the performance caliper, take a picture of it, post it to this list then tell me what you said above. Size and general appearance is identical, the only difference is the color (and therefore the part number) and the lettering. The brake pads themselves are the identical part between the stock 135i and the performance package. Regards, Rich |

As an OEM supplier, all we can do is our best to advise the community on the best choices for upgrading their cars using the information given to us directly by BMW. We don't manufacture or install these parts, nor are we going to be able to tell you if a kit that's not intended for your vehicle will indeed provide an adequate improvement over stock. That said, the E90 Performance Brake kit should be considered as an upgrade on a 330i - as it's intended for, and not for 335i. Our advice, if you don't have a 335i - don't install this kit, wait for the 335i kit. Peace, I'm out - |
