So it requires to be removed and can not stay permanently connected.

Once it is set you leave it installed. You do not remove it.

You might wanna double check this. I read your supposed to remove it after the emmisions test.

Also can someone post how to check to see if car is in ready mode.

Yeah, if you leave it installed you may skew your bank to bank AFRs. It's blending 2 signals into one so long term the result isn't optimal. But the DP Fix literally takes 10 minutes to install or uninstall plus the time to remove your cowl. I timed myself a couple of months ago and it took 8 minutes as it's just 3 wires.

I personally think the easiest way to check readiness is to have a $20 code scanner. Any OBD scanner from Amazon or the local parts store will work. It will show you readiness status for all monitors and if you throw a code it will show that as well. Obviously not as good as the BMW specific scanners, but for emissions it works perfectly. That's what I use to pass emissions. Install DP Fix and start drive cycle. Then scan it every once in a while when I get to a stop light and see what monitors aren't ready yet. Then do the portion of the cycle that sets that monitor and get it tested. I set readiness in 30 minutes this time as I had an empty highway to do the cruising portion so it was easy. It's much harder in stop and go traffic.

2 questions:
1. I personally hate the idea of pushing pins in and out of connectors. Can you source the male and female connectors so your version would directly plug in-line between the original connector and DME?
2. Do you have a position for disabling the DP fix altogether like the BMS version?

The pin layout is the same as BMS VRSF and the Wedge. They all work the same.

Ahh, turns out I won't know for quite a while. My exhaust was back ordered until late June and I don't really want to do DP and exhaust separately. I'll check around and see if people still need vouching though after that

Bump. The only errors I get are from my JB4. No emissions. I have one ready again and I can make more if need be.

Hi, forgive me I'm a newbie in terms of turbocharged cars. Recently upgraded from an N52 to an N55. I'm planning to get a catless downpipe soon but have been reading that it'll produce a CEL. Is this what your device prevents? Does it matter if my car is a RHD? Emissions is of no concern to me because of where I reside. I just don't want to be disappointed the moment I put on that catless downpipe. Thanks.

It only works with n54 versions. It is also meant for emissions

I know you've listed compatibility in terms of cars but what I'm asking is whether there is a difference for RHD cars? Sometimes RHD cars need longer harness (such as the case with JB4).
