I'm sure there's something bad about each shop. I've read a lot of good reviews with RMP but I had a bad impression from just calling them. I called them asking to get some service done to my car and mid-way they hung up on me. At first I thought the call just dropped but I called them back and it rang. They picked up and immediately hung up on me again.

That just shows me they don't want my business so I just took it to Ivo on Columbus which is 5 mins away from my work and got my coolant change. Service was good and he even fixed a noise that was coming from the bottom of my car I asked about.

Always had great experiences with Bimmersport. Brought the car in broken and it came out fixed, plus Jon and Charlie are always a pleasure to speak with even though they are crazy busy..

Are any any shops that specializes in German cars that allow you to bring your own parts to get it installed? I usually get my parts from Tischer or ECS tuning since I travel to the US a lot and have lots of relatives there. I know Ivo only install his own parts so I'm looking for someone that will install parts I provide and just charge for the labour.

I think the receptionist in RMP motors is taking a maternity leave or something so sometimes they are too busy to answer the call. I had a similar experience when I tried to book an appointment. But the service was great and rocco is very helpful.

RMP may do good work and they are priced well, however their customer service and professionalism is terrible.

I've been there dozens of times. Going back about 8 years. I find what you're implying hard to believe. Their customer service is great as is their professionalism. I wouldn't take my car anywhere but RMP.

I'm about to get some work done on my E46 M3 @ Bimmersport.

First impression of the shop, it's clean, bright, and seems well organized. Jon is def a very knowledgeable tech, no questions about that.

I dropped in the past Monday and there were easily 4-5 BMW M cars there.

I agree, it shows that a shop is doing something right if always busy!

Still that is no excuse. Why answer the call and hang up on me? Should have just not picked up at all. He picked up the phone and told me to hold. After a bit, he gets back on and I asked him about some service and got hung up on. At first I thought it was a call drop. I called back and it rings a few times. Someone picks up and hangs up immediately. I find that very disrespectful and it pissed me off. Sure I've heard good things about them and that was my only experience with them.

So you're just assuming they did it on purpose. You're pretty thin skinned.

Hard to judge a shop when its been functioning for many many years...staff, management, and ownership tends to change, and reviews tend to go up or down pending on who is running the shop at any given time.

I know Rocco at RMP is really good...without him, the shop is nothing.

I know Jon is also very good....and my belief is that if Bimmersport loses him, they will be nothing without him as well.

It's the case with all shops. People know I rep StreetXtreme, and I know that without Ron, the shop would be lost as well.

Trying to post up issues before Jon was in control of the shop is unfair....and considering they are always busy everyone should consider the percentage of satisfied customers vs the people that complain.

When I got my first BMW, I would always get in contact with Jon, and the shop saved my ass a few times when the car was falling apart (used to track it...bad idea for a 328i :P ).

In addition, it's hard for any shop to hire a dedicated receptionist...I don't know many shops that do....so when calling in, it can be tough to find someone. It does not mean they dont care, it just means they are running around their shop on peoples cars.

Recently spoke with Rocco about the issue I had with one of his employees who delivered poor customer service. I want to clarify that I always had a pleasant experience dealing with Rocco and his work is great. However, he is such a busy guy that it's often difficult to reach him and the person that took the call didn't deliver what I thought was proper service. Laura is ALWAYS pleasant and always returns my calls with pricing and information. It's unfortunate that she wasn't there as I wouldnt have made my comment about the recent events that transpired over the phone on more than one occasion. The only two shops I trust with my car is RMP and Ivo.

I am not impressed with BimmerSport. I used to be a loyal customer. I had a loose vacuum hose in my 335i and they diagnosed it as a water pump and tried to sell me on a $900 job.

I ran an engine scan by myself and saw it was poor turbo pressure. I bought 10 ft of silicone vacuum hose for $40 and fixed the issue by myself. After that, no more BimmerSport. This was two years ago. No water pump failure still.

After that incident, I only go to RMP motors. They are a bit pricier than a traditional mechanic but they know what they are doing and they are very honest.

Jason, person that runs/owns the forums, deleted it. As its not allowed prior to vendor status.

I just got the link today, renewing my vendor status, and then the group buy will be up again.
