+1...was great going for a short ride yesterday; car was strong and smooth. Also, tx for hooking me up with the golf tee mod. Exhaust sounds improved with that mod.

I hope I didn't make a mistake of getting catted DPs instead of catless, considering I could keep the secondary cats like Terry is doing here. But, now I'm thinking of cutting out the secondary cats and replacing them with pipe, while keeping the primary cats in the DPs.

I doubt Terry would recommend this for JB1. I believe JB2 increases air/fuel targets along with additional boost. I don't think the necessary fuel is going to be there from JB1 to add even more boost.

Not super easy to notice like exhaust systems, but you can see something is different if you look under the car.

Primary cats with no secondary cats work great too, I'm just trying this as the potentially more streetable solution. Not that installing downpipes is easy.

Terry, how was the sound with the primary cats and deleted secondary? I'm worried about droning and rasp. Tx man.

I thought it was a bit raspy, even with the stock mufflers. But I also deleted the e90 resonator at the same time.

I didn't find it vbad at all. I suffered from no major wounds and it took only 3.5 hours which should have been an hour shorter. I know 2.5 hours is doable.

Wow, it took me around 6 hours working on my back. Wasn't fun at all, but I am glad they are in there.

How much easier would it be with a lift in your garage?

Yep, the car was up on stands up from and ramps at the rear. It was enough room without being confining. Having turned wrenches on Audi's and fitting many headers on transverse V6 engines, this ended up being not too bad. Yes, it would have been nice to have more room, but it was manageable.

And now having done it I know what to look for so time could easily be cut out. But also having the correct tools (including air tools) makes it even better.

I would make it a bit easier as you are not on your back sliding in and out. But not too much IMO.
