You are actually in a stronger position than me because Dec is an awful month for sales, especially £30k+ models. I went in marching for a 10% discount, but in reality it worked out to be 8.7% in terms of pricing. I have also agreed to get free floor mats on delivery and the iphone cable (hoooooray)!!!! Put the extras on you want, calculate the price, and stick to your guns, they will accede!!!!

Delivery time was a bit disappointing but not too surprising. I order on 23/10/07 and should get the car on 02/01/07. Thats a bit longer becuase of the xmas closures/bank hols coming up. I think 8wks is still the reasonable for a 335d.

I ordered mine in November, so things were getting slower, it was a 28k model, and I managed to get 10% on the car + the options. So with what you are ordering you should be able to achieve that.

I also got mats and a cable chucked in, and to my surprise a full tank of diesel

Well done, i will have another go at badgering the sales manager when the car is close to delivery. I'll just wire in the money which i think is right lol!!!!

Apparently as they haven't got any cars in the pipeline that suit me (I want the Individual sound system on a black/black car), it'll be a build just for me and that "doesn't affect our sales quotas for this year". I've already laid the groundwork for me comparing them against a web-price, though - and personally I'll just go get it from broadspeed if not.

Delivery times are what i was expecting. I'm hoping an order Friday will get me a car on or close to 1 Mar 08 with a new plate

I wanted to go for a BMW individual exterior colour called Azurite Black. However, when BMW said it would take an extra 3-4weeks because the car has to be removed from the conventional production line, i decided to go for Black Sapphire.

I decided to go for Glacier Aluminium Trim. I wanted to hear the individual audio system but they had no cars with system fitted in to give me a demo.

Well i got in touch with the dealer today, and they ordered the spolier to be fitted to the car when it gets delivered. He said the part would be delivered for next Monday, and once paid for, he will arrange to get it sprayed in Black Sapphire.

The part number is 516 280 44 188, costing £125+vat, and something about a tagged order for the adhesive added a bit to the cost. I'll be hassling for a discount (surprise!!)

Quick Update: Sytner were in touch today, the spoiler has been ordered from Germany. I am told it was the first order so far (not surprising). The guy on the parts dept was very helpful, said that as soon as the spoiler arrives, he will arrange for it be sprayed in Sapphire Black, and they can store it until the car arrives!!

Now i just need the car!!!!!! Roll on 02/01/08

Quick update:

The estimated delivery date has now been changed to 10/01/2008 (+7 days). The dealer said to me last tuesday that due to xmas/bank holidays the delivery has been delayed. I have secured a free IPOD cable, free tank of fuel, and mats. Added to the 8.7% discount, its not a bad deal, might try to squeeze another £200-£300 off when i wire the money in. Every little helps!!!

The spoiler from the M3 arrives at the dealer tomorrow, and then will be sprayed and stored.

The wait for a new car is pure torture. More sleepless nights to come!!!
