I have INPA too, but everything for E9X is in German?

I want to get DIS working ASAP - such a good tool for fault finding.

Give me a sec - can you tell if these wheels are genuine?

Cracks now fixed with Epoxy Weld for time being! Worrying stuff eh? Lucky the car was cheap enough - although after a new clutch and fly, and new wheels It wont have been!!

Can anyone tell if these are genuine - no BMW markings anywhere??

If they are genuine, I will source one more 8.5J, and get them all refurbed...

If they are fakes, I'll buy a complete set.

I think they are. If genuine, they should have a number embossed on the outer face of the wheel. There's a guy in the Sixfields area that does a damn good job of welding wheels.

My INPA is english if that's any use? DIS is an absolute pain to get working properly but worth it when it does.

No number embossed on outside of wheel unfortunately. And still find it funny how I've got three 8.5" and one 8". Worrying really thinking what else previous owners have bodged!

Someone gave me a leaflet - think he's near Halfords on Ross Road?

I used to have it all working until BMtechnic went under Just found a full package of everything I am working on installing now - will give you a shout if it fails if you dont mind?

Right the saga continues!!

Struggling getting NCS Expert to work to code out warnings for LED bulbs, and to add other features...

Rear windows are coming up as hall sensor error's and these I have read are in the motor themselves.

Also, as someone has pointed out they are infact LCI mirrors. They also look to be electrically folding looking at the mech inside. Could this be why they aren't working with my Pre - LCI / non folding mirror switch?

Wish I had saved a bit more and got a decent one now - the stevie wonder paintjob annoys the shit out of me too.

Bmw never made mv4s in 18s so defo these are replicas and perhaps poor one hence so many crack.
I second the idea of ditching them.

Seriously though.

Clutch and flywheel,
Wheels,
Air Con,
Rear windows,
Mirrors,

Then the paintjob. Although it really isn't that bad - I'm just picky!

In all fairness though, the engine is a peach.
Plus it has LCI front and rear bumpers and LCI leccy folding mirrors.

Any ideas on getting the LCI folding mirrors working? I wonder if I need an LCI switch for it all to work then?

It doesn't have LCI bumpers, only LCI mirrors which if they are Auto dimming and folding and you don't have the modules for these options will probably never work properly.

Are both rear windows not working? Seems strange if so. Could be a loose connection on them?

I don't know the difference of the rear, but front bumper is definitely LCI - it has the lip above number plate, and the oval shaped towing eye cover too.

Bugger about the mirrors - losing hope by the day!

Possible? I've got the codes on my laptop, something about hall sensors - I'll upload them in a bit.

It can't be the LCI front bumper as you have the old grill on the front

I don't understand why the rear windows are showing a hall sensor error?
Hall sensors are for engines

Are the windows not working at all? What exactly does the error message say?

Could it be that you need to re initialise the rear window hall sensors to get them working?

Sorry chaps - swapped the BMW for a 2007 Seat Leon FR TFSI - DSG.

The Mrs can drive it too now, and think I got a bit of a deal seeing as I only paid £3550 for the BMW, and the Leon has only 57k miles, FSH, Stainless exhaust, Cold Air intake, Eibach springs etc, and from my research is worth over £4500. Only needed two front tyres too.
