Like my buddy Carl once said....The 335 will definitely have a place in BMW history as one of the best cars they ever built.

Great car--agree totally! In time, the 335 i will end up on a short list of the best all around cars ever built--and the easiest to mod.

I'm one of the guys who came to my 335i right from an e46 M3 which was the gold standard 3 series, and very quickly I realized how much better overall this car was.

I find myself saying almost daily "man, this is a great car". BMW definitley hit a home run with this one

Just did a 600 mile one day trip in central Washington yesterday, man what a tough day at work, 2 hour sales call and 9 hours in my car. I loved it. And when I got home my Quaife LSD was on my doorstep. Whoo Hoo! Merry Christmas. This will finish my baby off and she will be perfect for me.
V2/KWV2/19"M6reps/Quaife LSD/assortedbodystuff.
I guess the cats out of the bag on the 335i. It really is a love affair for those that appreciate cars. All this and I'm averaged 26 mpg highway.

Happy Holidays.

IMHO, this car with very little effort can be a C6 Vette in a straight line and Z4M coupe at the road course. It has German car prestige when "impressing" clients and still room for 2 large golf bags, 4 people and their luggage for road trips. All of this in a chassis and design that is considered THE benchmark for sport sedans and has been for decades. Furthermore, it returns excellent gas mileage for its performance and leads its segment in retaining resale value.

Due to all of these reasons, I truly believe this is the price dependent best all around car in the world for the enthusiast, and I'm not a BMW fanboy.

There is not a single other car you can buy for $40-50K that offers everything this car offers.

As C&D said in a recent article, it just might be the best all around car in the world, and I agree!!

What great fun this car is and what a blessing it is that we have, and can afford to drive this car.

Later.

Actually, our cars are faster around a track than a Z4M....Car and Driver confirmed it.

Well said. I do often miss the raspy scream of my E46 M3 at 8,000 rpm. This is a much better daily car for me though.

+100 except the rasp and 8000 rpm. I don't miss this at all. I had SMG II in the M3 and have the 6AT now. Much better than the SMG II, IMO.

I have had the car for almost 2 months and I must say that I'm liking this car more and more as I add the miles. The only thing missing in this car for me is the "x" on the trunk where you find the wonderfull alphanumeric signature 335i, I got stuck in parents driveway the other day ! But for the money this is great car bar none!!!

Also owned an e46M3 (and a 550) and the 335 is my favorite. Great handling, tons of power, comfort. Sometimes I wonder if the average 335 realizes how good this car is.

+1, just drove a couple hundred miles.... loved every last minute of it. My wife is now demanding a 135 for her daily ride, we get into fights on who gets to drive daily. Cheers to the op, round of drinks to all!
