Nope, reduces travel by exactly the amount lowered. Whether you feel it or not depends on how you drive, road conditions, bump stops, etc.

It is kind of subtle to see how it works, it drops the full weight of the car deeper into the cup/perch. This leaves height of the top of the spring and the top of the lower strut body relative to the ground the same, but lowers the bottom of the strut mount and hence the rest of the car further down into the new cup.

Basically it is a deeper cup than stock, and the bottom of that cup is now closer to the top of the lower strut, and that is what cuts travel once it is all loaded up. You can't see this clearly with the assembled strut out of the car, it is only apparent once full weight is on the susp. Then the top of the spring and top of lower strut is still exactly same height as with stock cup, WRT ground, just the bottom of the new cup is lower and so closer to lower strut, which reduces travel.

Don't get me wrong it is not a bad solution if you have the extra travel to throw away. But if you are already lowered and looking to adjust F/R rake you might not have enough left after these. Esp true on XI cars (once you swap RWD strut hats, XI hats won't fit).

Just wanted to clarify, the koni fsds are a straight swap? Planning to keep ZSP springs. No additional parts required?

2011 335d 133,000 miles. Thanks

Correct.

However at your miles I would change all rubber bits and top hats/strut mounts.

Thanks for the reply! Would these "rubber bits and strut mounts" be/should be OEM?

135,000 miles ZSP.

I did.

However I am sure you might be able to find non-Oem on somewhere like rock auto.
