Bay Area Fremont dealer (Autonation) for ED
Hello All,
I have started my initial communication with bmw of fremont as my cousin got a 5 series from them a few weeks back. I'm looking to lease the 328i coupe and get ED. Anyone have experience dealing with this dealership for ED? Thanks. |

i think the family that owns the BMW of Fremont also owns BMW of Mountain View... initially, i talked to the dealer in the floor for fremont...worst experience. Then i though id email bmw of fremont an offer, they told me i was closer to BMW of mountain view and the internet sales manager will contact me earlier. Great experience, id recommend bmw of mv. |

I live about a mile from East Bay BMW in Pleasanton - exchanged a few emails from the sales-guy there (can I take their names here?!) and then went in with my laptop and my calculations - he was helpful at first showed me the cars on the lot as I needs to finalize my options, and when we got back to his desk and I started talking about the cost etc. he looked at me wierd and said what cost - it's plain and simple with the 328i MSRP! My response "You're kidding me right? You expect me to pay full MSRP?" should have seen the look on his face and the attitude change. He said I am sorry we cannot give you a car as we are the best dealership in the area and started badmouthing the other dealerships..that their after-sales service isn't good etc.
Fremont was good to my cousin so I figured and so far no complaints in my first visit there as I went directly to the Sales Manager. But thanks, will also get in-touch with mountainview. For ED do I put down a $1K deposit..how will that work? As I have read that lease papers should be signed a week before heading out to Munich. Thanks. |

I paid a $1000 deposit on my current car. For my current order, I gave my CA the credit card # as he said $1k deposit, but my card has not been charged yet and it's been over 2-mths since I placed the initial order.

Who's your CA and which dealership? I'll check them out, and while I'm there remind them how you were anxiously waiting for them to charge your cc $1K.
I'm targeting anywhere from 500-600 over EU Invoice. Taking my vacation in March (London, Dubai) so if I place an order in the next week or so, do u think the car will be ready towards end of March? Will email the dealer in mv also as a backup. |

Nice - have heard good things about the dealership in mv - any CA in particular that I should deal with regarding ED?
This is what I am looking to get @ 600 above invoice or even 500..makes a dif of a couple of dollars/mnth. Term: 36 mnths ED Invoice: 30,205 Options: 5,595 Net Cap Cost: 37,175 MF: 0.00163 (3.9%) ED Adder: 0.00030 Net MF: 0.00193 (4.62%) (37175-24519)/36 = 351.55 depreciation (37175+24519)x 0.00193 = 119.06 interest 351.55+119.06 = 470.61+38.82 = 509.43/mnth for 15k miles/yr |

I've had good experiences with BMW of Fremont (as well as the people that I've referred to them). They will also give you great deals! Let me know if you need a client advisor there- $500-600 for a 328 coupe shouldnt be a problem.

i got my 328i for a little over $300 over invoice. i know EU and US invoice is different but there's much more room to negotiate on a 328i in the US so the margin is alot smaller than the 335. Quote:
i got mine at fremont and had a very pleasant experience. my friend just picked up a 335 there about a month ago too. mountain view pretty much shut the door in his face.

Doing ED from my calculations will affect the monthly lease payment by $50-60/mnth (taking the different MF, invoice price into account). I will be in EU in the march time-frame for holidays so why not? )
So it seems that Fremont will most likely get my business..so for ED I should start with $300-400 over invoice. |

list of fees associated with the lease for a bmw at fremont. can u guys tell me how much each is?
1. destination 2. doc 3. title/registration 4. aquisition Am I missing any? I will opt for minimal drive-off. As I read somewhere on these forums, for ED, I sign the contract a week before flying to Europe, and just put a $1K deposit now? |

LOL my dealer is Concord. He probably didn't charge me because it's my 2nd car from them. "1. destination 2. doc 3. title/registration 4. aquisition Am I missing any? I will opt for minimal drive-off. As I read somewhere on these forums, for ED, I sign the contract a week before flying to Europe, and just put a $1K deposit now?" Destination is $775 (same for everyone) Doc typically $45 which is state regulated I believe. Title/Reg figure about $400-$450. Acquisition is $625, but most will mark it up to $825. You have to negotiate this. Yes you place a deposit now and submit a Pre-Resv Form with your desired specs and 3-preferred requested pick-up dates. You sign the contract a week before leaving for Munich; although, it's up to the dealership. Some will try to get you to sign 2-weeks in advance. Make sure your passport is current too, to avoid any late surprises.

Thanks 65GM for the breakdown. I noticed that you have a 3M clear bra, is this something the dealer does or is it aftermarket if so where can I get it installed?
Can anyone recheck the numbers I have for my soon-to-be-lease and see if they match with your calculation. Ok so asking $300-400 above invoice should be good? I'll be going to the dealer on Monday. |

If you're buying then I'd definitely recommend it. It only took like a week before my 1st chip. I wish I had installed the clear bra immediately.

+1 i got my car from fremont. they were pretty nice there, @ least my guy was. I went back there the day after i bought my car b/c i had a problem with it and they fixed it up, no problem. His boss or manager didnt really seem too eager to be there though. I also got a great deal on my car. I got it for invoice.

getting invoice on a 328i is a job well done - alex! kenny and jooology recommended the CA to deal with - did call vi quach and spoke to him briefly - have emailed him my numbers - waiting to hear back. I will also call Alma (the gal at Fremont) who took me for a test drive last week. She said she'd never been "this" fast on a test-drive ever..helps that I've driven on the autobahn and lived in germany for a bit..and grew up in another country that doesn't really have a speed limit.
drive fast if u are good enough and have a Canadian license to show the cop and get off from a speeding ticket (which I did in a rental going to LA) was doing 110 right before six flags. |

I did ED, but down here in SoCal. Good luck. Bimmerfest has a great European Delivery Sub-forum. I suggest going there if you have not already.
