Illuminated Knob
Becaue I'm bored I thought I'd look into fitting the illuminated knob from an E92 M3, my dealer gave me a price of £122 with gaiter, but the parts fella couldn't say if it had any wire attached, becaue he was working from a CD Rom.
I was wondering if anyone else had looked into doing this? |

You really don't need lights on your knob it's not a bloody Christmas Tree.
If you must change it go for the one that is the right length and feels right in your hands. I think you should learn to live with what you were given as the M3 may have a longer shaft for a reason as it requires more length to shift it through the gate easily. On Porsche you can get a shorter shift option - but when the car is cold apparently it's a right pain to move it and can almost be a 2 handed job.

Hotcoupe, Gear sticks may be personal taste, IMO once you have driven a car for a couple of weeks you just get used to it. I owned various E46's all manual. The SE gearstick I far prefered to the Sports as it was longer. My Boxster had a long throw also and I personally felt it was the best shift ever on any car when warm. What I am saying is it's all down to feel and personal choice.

Did it get "pulled" off or was it "jerked" off? Regards Chris
