Is that cheap enough? Who ever is interested can send me pm.
So it looks like there is now a 3rd option available.

vwetish, can you tell us any more about this product? Are you the designer/fabricator? How is it on your car and has anyone else installed it? It looks very similar to the defiv kit but retains the stock rubber diff bushings and adds a 4th poly bushing for the lockdown.

Anyone know what would be the short or long term effects of having 3 rubber bushings and one poly bushing on the same diff? I'd think you would want them all to match.

I just ordered one with him so I can chime in once mine is made. I should have it in a few weeks.

I think this is a better option for people that are not driving dedicated track cars as the solid dif bushings will add a TON of NVH from the drive train. That is the point of the rubber bushings is to not transfer the movement to the body thus meaning more movement of the drivetrain. The solid bushings eliminate any separate movement from the drive train and the car keeping it all "solid" therefore eliminating any slop and movement of the dif itself.

I do not think there would be any adverse affects to having three rubber bushings and only poly bushing. The only thing I can think of is the three rubber bushings would be the first to move/give. The 4th is an additional bushing to brace down the dif to the car obviously. Doing a rubber bushing would mean the purpose of this product decreases as it will allow there to be more slop. Do just a single solid bushing (or the Boost Addictions option), and then there becomes the issue of a lot of harshness and vibration passing through the chassis of the car. With the poly bushing, it still stays stiff enough to reduce wheel hop and prolong the life of the drive train, but not soft enough to serve no purpose.

Hope this helps!

I'm neither fabricator nor designer. The kit was created by my friends in the car industry completely independent from DifV and the similarities are only coincidental.
I guarantee you this since lathe workers don't "sleep" on the BMW forums.
On your question about the 3 OEM rubber bushings: it will prolong their lifeas well as the longevity on the rest of the driver train, like the drive shaft, half shaft, diff bearing, transmission and etc...

So has anyone actually installed one of these?

Yes, they are included.

Sounds reasonable, but I personally would still replace them with new ones at least. Plus, your sf bushings will still play a factor. The way I look at it, if you really track your car and at the stage of looking for a lockdown kit/brace, a little NVH shouldn't bother you... because, racecar.

What sort of feedback have you gotten about it from users? Does it eliminate wheel hop? Any increase in NVH? The defiv kit is known to introduce an audible gear whine on deceleration. Does that occur with this kit? Also, can you tell us who makes this kit? Do they have a website?

My car rarely gets to the track. It is mainly a street car and I spend a lot of time in it. I do get some wheel hop on hard launch or rapid accel since upgrading the turbo and need to eliminate that, but don"t want the gear whine that has been reported by users of the defiv kit and people who have gone with solid diff bushings without diff lockdown.

The increase in NVH is minimal as this kit retains the stocks 3 OEM bushings and only adds 1 additional bushing with polyurethane sleeve unlike DifiV which is all aluminum. The kit is not made by a company nor there is a website thus the very reasonable price. The saving from not investing into advertisement and building a website are transferred onto the end user.
About the wheel hop, there is not kit that will eliminate it only by itself as wheel hop is occurring due to various reasons:
#1 not sticky or over inflated tires
#2 over or under dampen shocks
#3 soft rated springs
#4 the rest of the rear suspension bushings being sloppy
and ect...
Again, no differential lockdown kit will eliminate all of that on its own 100%
Were originally interested in the BA bracket? It is same money but implements metal on metal attachments with harder pulling-pushing forces on the differential case.
I'm not here to convince you whether to buy something or not as that is ultimately your decision, your car, your money....

You'll be better off with M3 diff bushings and the BA brace then.

I disagree. I think the best option for him would be m3 subframe bushings, vwetish sourced kit, and a powerflex dif bushing if not at least a new oem dif bushing.

I say this because the boost addictions option would add just as much NVH as the Defiv kit since it mounts directly to the subframe. It is just like a solid "bushing" in the sense that it mounts metal to metal. Technically a solid bushing isn't really a bushing. The extra bushing added by the vwetish sourced kit will pick up some of the noise and harshness caused by launching and wheel spin

My understanding is that the M3 diff bushings are no better than the non-M E9x diff bushings. I do already have the M3 subframe bushings FWIW.

No, you don't have to. You could always just get the brace. I'm just the type that like to replace wear and tear items while I'm working in that area.

Yes but the BA brace looks like a much easier install. You don't have to drop the diff like you do with the other kit(s). I'd probably not replace the bushings if going with the BA brace, but would consider it with the others.

Why do you have to drop the diff? You don't have to if you aren't replacing the bushings.

Your kit does not require dropping the diff? A pic of it installed would be helpful if you have one.

No the bushing you see in the pic attaches to the subframe I'm guessing. It's an extra bushing...
