No absolutely no effect, that's just a number that teh gtech uses to calculate the theoretical hp and torque that would be needed to achieve this kind of acceleration. Have you checked the 335xi weight with a half tank and a 200 lbs person? pretty close to 3900lbs

You don't really believe your car is faster than Terry (a very good drag racer with more mod) or Shiv (putting out more power) The only 335 that is faster then yours is the VIP Tuning. Something doesn't add up - or maybe your car is the freakiest of freaks. And yes I have a 335xi. I know what the drive train eats up compared to what it buys you off the line. |

you don't need the moderator to cancel your memebership, just don't use this forum anymore...This forum is kind of a war zone for tuners and users...Its been like that ever since I can remember, but that kind of stuff usually amuses me...I mean what the hell, we are in these forums to learn new stuff about our cars and also pass time...like reading a news paper...But if this kind of stuff annoys you, then I would think that u are toooo sensitive and need to get some back bone...I mean it is just a forum of people with subjective and objective thoughts...You ever heard of "sticks and stone may break my bones, but words cannot kill me!!"

Catdog you need to stay on here. I want to know what happens when you go to the drag strip, etc. I am very curious. Also, let me know what cars you run up against, and leave in your wake. (Especially somewhat modded STI, EV0s, GTOs). We need some drama on this forum. Some other forums don't have any arguments, and they are so BORING! A little argument and skepticism actually makes forgood entertainment, and actually is a good opportunity for people to validate their claims. I personally think it is much more beneficial having Shiv questioning Terry's claims, and vice versa, think about it, we really do need these checks and balances. If anyone is going to defend their own products, and see flaws in someone elses opinions, its the tuners themselves. And kind of like the people's court (or a FORUM), let the people digest this information and form their own opinons and decide. The moderators may think they are protecting forum members from misleading information, when actually the opposite may be the end result.

Basically pump up rpm's to around 3000-3500 then gently slip the clutch; i have not dumped the clutch because i a afraid something will break. I had a couple of times where i overslipped the clutch. On the tree runs shown, it was a smooth transition with limited slipping, and also was on the upswing of the rpm as you are pumping the gas pedal.

Catdog, if you do make it to the drag strip, remember to simultaneously run the Gtech. That way, even if conditions are slower at the particular track, it doesn't invalidate the accuracy of your Gtech. I mean at 2500+ DA, and 87F+ temps, my car's performance deteriorated to a 13.0x at 107.0x. But on that same day, the Evo MR was getting a 13.6, and the STI a 14.x, and a stock 335i was well into the 14's. So its all relative. Also, I was sitting in the car with the A/C running between runs. (heatsoak!). And, that was without my R switch. So things WILL be way different if I can run now with some decent track conditions.
