What other cars are comparable to a 335D?

Yeah I love mine, actually with a dpf delete you get a much more throaty noise and turbo whistle.

I could afford one come march but i think its time to be sensible. Cant be bothered with monthly outgoings so going to ditch the bmw and buy a scrapper.

Was thinking mk4 golf gti (can be had for £1000 and you get a fair chunk of car for that)

In heavy to moderate town driving i get 20-25mpg. On the motorway cruising at 70mph i get 45mpg plus or minus 4mpg.

I don't think there's ANY other car that can match the torque and economy. I love my 335D and want to keep it forever

If you drive hard you will want to do handling mods. Stock wise isn't great, its ok but for me personally i wanted more.

Mine has averaged 34.8mpg over the last year. Remapped to 343bhp and 519lbft. I can't think of another car I'd rather have....other than a newer / higher spec one.

The one thing i dislike about mine with the 22k a year i do is the mpg, would not swap the petrol for diesel though, just love the noise.

I did fancy a jag I would have to be the portfolio 3.0 buy they still ain't as quick but slightly better Mpg.

The a4 bi turbo is quick.

Id like a new xdrive 435d no real tuning opeetunities yet though.

Lowest I've seen mine is 31 and that was recently because of the cold weather I guess, shorter journeys don't help either. I'm not a fan of the handling when driven hard though, it's too soft... Otherwise, best all round car I've owned so far!

As with the e90 series, they will drop after a couple of years. Look at 335s now, you can get a 40k car for 10k.

AMG Merc is so beast I'd love to own one but the amount I've spent on my car I just can see me selling it anytime soon and touch wood no need to. Next year will be the 3rd year of ownership since I bought it with 43,500 on the clock and it's currently on 68k

Strange post as the majority of AMG's [ c63 aside} are not that fantastic, id put your 335d against the majority of them mate.

As an all rounder I can't think of any other car that scores as high in all departments for me. Speed, comfort, diesel, mpg, understated looks(e90), toys, etc.

Test drove a C63 last year and was was very tempted but with the work mileage I do eventually the constant refuelling would get on my wick.

If I ever sell the the mustang I would get a C63 as a weekend warrior. epic car
