As for Elite, i believe the tyre department to be ok but i wouldn't touch them for exhausts... when my friend got his 206 gti 180 done there we ended up in the loft of the place choosing centre boxes and a back box for the fabricator. I got the impression the guy could weld but knew NOTHING about exhausts. I had my last exhaust made at wallington long life and the guy knew exactly what he was doing. Even got me the sound i wanted...

However i wouldn't go on my reviews pal, i seem to have bad luck wherever i go. AMD Essex are supposed to be a very reputable firm but they fried my ECU on my 306 Rallye and never paid for it. I seem to get bad luck wherever.

Mate have you tried PMW ltd?? i went there with my old 320d and had the swirl flap removal done. I was pretty impressed with the attitude and work done there.
Contacted AMD and they wanted £240 + VAT for springs installation and tracking done.
It works out approx £285 with VAT. Not impressed with the price.

Will check with pmw. Thanks for the idea.

Ok i will keep this in mind for sure.

PMW were good.

Alternatively i can have a word with a friend. He is based near Tunbridge Wells but he is VERY good and has every tool for the job as he works weekends at his garage. I wouldn't use anyone else now. Also he will be much cheaper than the above quotes... which warrants the fuel and toll crossing.

Not noticed any gains yet, but it might help increase bhp when I get a custom remap done in the new year. Got it done for the looks mainly, but 'every little helps'

Just go for straight pipes with dpf delete. I run that setup and the noise is barely different to stock. Just a bit more grunt. Besides, if you go for straight pipes you can always get backboxes put in later if it bothers you.

the little snail bolted onto the side of the engine (the turbo) creates all the backpressure in the world.

anything beyond the turbo does not matter at all. so he is talking absolute mince to get you to buy a couple of back boxes.

Car hasn't got many miles on it, so will leave dpf there for the time being.

Interesting.
I thought so as never heard of any installer saying to have back boxes with custom exhaust.
But I was not sure and went with safer option. Got two boxes now and less money in the pocket.
Still better than what style dynamics quoted me.

i havent got a picture. all i know its put into the pipework to make it scream. even on idle you can hear the exhaust. i believe it can be added to your exhaust after but maybe means hassle of removing it again etc and building it in. fabricator charge me extra £10 for screamer. ill see if i can get a video up and post it on here but dont have youtube so not sure how too...

Also put some pics up of the transformed F10!!!!

If you can get it today sound like this! It sounds awesome for a diesel my God!

Look at ac schnitzer specs of that exhaust I'm sure dpf is deleted.

A screamer pipe if I'm not mistaken is a slightly different pipe from the turbo instead of all gases going into the exhaust its split into two pipes the main from the blower side goes straight down the exhaust but once you hit full boost the waste gate opens and this is dumped straight out of a short stubby pipe.

Not to sure what it would sound like on a derv but I know on the mr2 they sound like a jet.

Saw this video earlier and it is awesome. I guess its easier to get this sort of sound with 6 pots diesels.

Ok, exhaust is done.
It is defo improvement over standard and defo two small boxes have helped to get decent sound. Sound is raspier / throatier when you start the car. Then it is normal but when you drive it on higher revs (4K plus), it is defo much better than what it was. Still no where near that video!

Initially, I was bit skeptical about having small boxes when owner told me that they keep the back pressure and help to get some decent sound.
It did work!
I opted for 4 inch twin tail pipes. Problem is that M5 has more space than that so tail pipes look tiny on M5 diffuser.

Overall happy with the results.
