Just take it back to the installer and let him deal with it. And it is just that. The P0040 code gave it away. You just installed downpipes and the code is for o2 sensors swapped. Pretty conclusive, no?

And that would cause all the misfiring?

Yes. This is because the ecu is trying to control fuel to one bank of cylinders based upon the o2 sensor data from the other bank. So what you get is uncontrolled rich/lean conditions which result in actual misfire. It is safe to drive the car to the installer. Just cruise it over (no boost).

Please don't do that. You don't necessarily need the same installer to unswap the sensors. Any shop can do that. Should only take 10 minutes or so.

He probably has to go through jungles and forest to get to his mechanic!! lolo

Joking....I hear you man....when you want something fixed I kind of want to do it right away...Maybe you can jack it up and do it yourself...I am pretty sure a open end wrench can take those o2 sensors off!!

A crow's foot and an air wratchet work well for those front sensors.

That over the internet diagnostic was worth some $$$$ there.
Perhaps Shiv should consider this as a second line of work.... j/k...

and the problem wasn't even with the tune.
I'm sure Shiv has more important things to be doing then trying to fix your own installers mess ups while you try and blame his tune

Perhaps all the O2 sensor harnesses use the same color coding?

Thomas: did you follow Shiv's advice?

Probably a good idea would be to plug in your bypass plugs and drive around for a day and see if the car behaves strangely.

Shiv told me to disrigard that and just check the DP and exhaust install.
I cleared all the codes
They opened the engine cover and swoped 2 clips
All misfiring was gone
i was throwing
P0040 Upstream Oxygen Sensors Swapped From Bank To Bank

Now im throwing
P0041 Downstream Oxygen Sensors Swapped From Bank To Bank

But at least it sounds and feels much more powerful im loving no misfiring.

I think this was not what Shiv recommended to do. You should have swapped the O2 sensors in the downpipes. However, I don't know whether swapping 2 plugs causes the same ...

I know it isnt what he said but the installer swapped the two big plugs in the engine bay, i dont see why it would make a difference though. He just didnt have a lift for me to use so either that or i cant drive the car cause its misfiring so much. At least there is no misfiring now

I need to swop the two bottom clips now does anyone know where they are? are they at the bottom of the car or also in the engine bay?

He swopped the top sensors clips from bank(left) to bank(right) cause i was getting P0040 Upstream Oxygen Sensors.
now im getting P0041 Downstream Oxygen Sensors Swapped From Bank To Bank so i just think the bottom two big clips need swapping now? The top clips where nice and easy under the engine cover, does anyone know where the bottom sensor clips are?
