Speed limiter kicks in around 265kph (165mph) , this is speedo indicated. Probably actual speed is 155mph.
Evotech flash tune removed the speed limiter and I could take it up to 290kph / 180mph (speedo indicated) a few times. Speed limiter is back after switching to Cobb.

These speeds are not unattainable on a track. With a Pure Turbo upgrade I hit 140mph+ at Mid Ohio, where the straight is about 1/2 as long as the new NCM. The new NCM front straight is almost a mile long. I anticipate bumping against the limiter for the last 1/4 mile of it.

Looks like Dinan stage 3 only removes the governor if you have a 6MT with RWD. Everyone else is SOL.

Hey Darkhold, I would love to rid of this limiter, was yours flashed out? Just a tad more detail please! Thanks
BTW your car is wicked fast, can't wait to get a hold of the stage 2 pure. (Also one of the reasons I'm seeking a delimiter) |

Yes, but what flash did you get to get rid of it? Was it done via OBDII port or directly on the ECU? I had a local shop quote me $1500 to only remove the limiter because they have to pull so much of the engine apart to get at the ECU and plug in to it.

I kinda like getting on the autobahn and opening mine up a bit. 155mph is easy to hit on my commute and have had it a bit higher with Cobb tune (175mph estamated) as once the speedo hits 160 it stops but the RPMs keep climbing. I have read that Cobb aggressive has the limit set to 198mph but I don't think my car can do that.

155 was easy to hit with FBO / Meth. I left the limiter on though to reduce the urge.
I've done 190 in the z06 and it's smooth as butter up there. Closed course in Mexico of course... |

Anyone died yet? I hope only the drivers not other "innocent" people. Ok maybe not die, its a bit too harsh, just decapitated
Yes I have done my fair share of maxing out!, not something I'm proud off and will never do that again. But every now and then I do go to the track, thats where I get to speed. Unless there is a long straight-away you'll never be able to max out the the top speed. Sometimes I would love to move to Germany, though I go there multiple times a year. The problem is just because the car is capable of going 1000mph it doesn't mean you can just go around "public" roads and endanger others. People always assume they are awesome drivers! Could be the case but people forget another variable... others around the road. So another analogy just because you have a gun it doesn't mean you start shooting everyone you don't like!
