ive had this same exact sound. dealer replaced solenoid on one of my turbos and said it was getting stuck. the tech said he used a stethoscope and heard it. it didn't affect drivability at all or throw any codes.. the problem is now fixed

i would usually hear it when the car is fully warmed up after a drive as i let the car idle. it would sound for about 10 sec and go away on its own or if i blip the throttle. other ppl on the forum say its a noisy evap valve or something of that sort and not to worry. it sounds nasty though.
Yes it sounds nasty it's scary that's on a 1m wtf LOL I drove my car again all day no noise at all and today in the morning at cold start no noise at all I hop it stays that way I've spent more money trying to keep my damn car just running bmw should stand for big money waster just venting but Bmw never ending

Well what did u think a bmw was it ain't no hyundai? lol

Don't worry about engine ticking, all bmw engines tick but that nasty intermittent one is the evap valve or solenoid whatever it's called. I want to really know what it's called.

The dealer replaced it and said it was the "turbo solenoid" but idk what that is
