Personally, it's environment and the people you're working with. Sure, you can have a modern design with games, fresh coffee or even comped lunch, but all that matters is that I get along with everyone, or have a boss that has a "as long as the task is done in a reasonable time, I don't care" attitude... Which if your boss is a micromanager or you have a bee-otch of a coworker, you can be working for the best environment in the world and it won't mean a thing. But the one thing that I do ask is if it's silent enough to hear a pin drop, please at least put on SOMETHING to create SOME ambience, or allow for us to use headphones (which makes my place cool in my book).

As far as what I do for fun... We joke around, play practical jokes, or for me, I change around the messages of warning labels (but keep in mind I just post it for coworkers; this is not on the final product). This one is a bit dark, but I had other ones that were much funnier (such as "air out product if you start seeing blue levitating pigs staring at you").

Chatting with co-workers about movies, TV shows, music, celebrities and whatever else comes up. We have had some very interesting/fun convos over the last 7-8 months. The daily convo is the highlight of my day, every day. Lol
