Quick update:

Got myself some Power-folding wing mirrors, just need a window switch panel now then wiring and coding!
Also a few snaps I took a couple of weeks back. The exhaust looks to be sagging a little, the hanger is probably fairly worn I imagine.

I see what you mean about the exhaust, mine used to hang like that

I'd be very interested to see how you get on with the mirrors as this is on my list of mods to do soon

Are they 3 pin or 5?

Thanks for the Link.

3 Pin! I'm not going to tackle the wiring myself, don't really know what I'm doing tbh when it comes to wiring/electrics.

I've heard some e90's have the wiring already there and some dont, depends on build year etc.

Another member off here has recently taken his e90 to Peter Van Der Veer, a well known Bmw & mini specialist in Marsden to get them fitted so I might be giving him a call to book in.

Rang a few 'specialists' in the Sunderland area and they either said basically 'No we wont do that' or it was a silly price. I'll keep hunting for someone closer I think.

They're more sleek looking, but i'd prefer to keep it more OEM with the LCI powerfolds I think

Got a few little niggles I need to sort with the tourer;

My rear wiper decided to seize up, had this problem for a while now just haven't got round to sorting it. Rear wiper assembly's probably going to have to be rebuilt with copper grease because If I buy a new motor, it will just seize up again! Need to check if the motor still works by lifting the rear window and flicking the switch.

Front nearside and rear offside ball-joints are rattling like crazy over slow bumps, anybody else had this issue? I thought it was the drop-links but when it went in for a service BMW wrote those down on the health check.

Front discs are due shortly as they are about shot! Any suggestions what to get instead of Genuine BMW?

Wayne.

I have had no end of problems with brake disc's so my suggestion would be to go OEM from the Dealer, I had some pagids that Warped after 2000 miles & then Mintex but they rust like made & look cack so have had to paint the hubs several times

Ahh I'll get some OEM ones then! Thanks for that! Only problem is they do give off a lot of brake dust, but i'd much rather have that than some poor reliability ones.

It was on the to do list buddy, but I don't plan on keeping this car for no longer than a year due to the amount of miles I've put on the car, If I had a lot less miles on I would of done this along with another few subtle things in the new year.

Fancying an E90 330d, possibly even an F30 330d or an M135i ! Just planning on keeping this mechanically sweet for sale time.

I'll second the BMW discs, on my previous E91 I fitted some discs and pads from ECP and the disc hubs rusted within a few weeks and they squeaked! After that I'll always pay a bit extra for genuine ones.

I also had the siezed rear wiper problem on that car. Was actually pretty easy to fix, I tapped the spindle out carefully with a rubber mallet then sanded down and greased it. Did the trick !
