A little off topic but wasn't there a guy on the forum here who did a n52 to n54 swap? Is he still around? I wonder how that's working out for him.

Single turbo, right? Just wondering what kinda gains you are hoping for? After my recent upgrades, I'm in a "gains vs investment" state of mind.

It's hard enough to get the N54 working as it should when it came that way from the factory! Can't imagine trying to DIY a swap like that!

Someone has already done the leg work for this install. Quite simple once the two spurving bearings are lined up properly with the panametric pham...

I love the E90, I love the N52 - I just think you're just going about this wrong. If you can afford to turbocharge the car, you can afford a 335i - if you can't then don't bother.

Bimmers get cheaper, influx of younger owners. It's basically what happened to E46fanatics. But in 20 years time, this forum will become the new r3vlimited and things will get better. Just wait my friend... just wait and you'll see.

Not really. As a mechanic for a performance shop I can get away with alot. And by that I mean no charge. So I believe that my $1k 330i N52 could be turbo and still not break the $5k total investment. Plus ill be helping alot of people looking into this modification. Remember anything can be done with the right set of tools.
